About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about the Admiral Vernon—it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot for a good time without any fuss. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its fantastic atmosphere; picture yourself catching a brilliant rock band on the weekend or belting out tunes at karaoke on a Monday—it's all about that live music energy that keeps things exciting. The staff are an absolute delight, always quick with your order and making sure everyone feels welcome, which makes for such a pleasant visit. Prices are spot on too, not breaking the bank for a decent pint and a mixer, and they've got a solid choice of beers to suit most tastes. On the flip side, it's a shame there's no website to peek at for the lowdown on events or hours, as that could save a bit of hassle. Plus, with the schedules looking a bit muddled, you might need to confirm before you go. All in all, it's a solid spot for anyone in the area looking for a friendly haunt with great entertainment, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're not nearby. I'd say give it a try if you're up for some genuine pub fun—it's got that heartwarming community spirit that's worth seeking out.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant, with live bands on weekends that really get the crowd going—perfect for a fun night out.
-
Staff are incredibly friendly and efficient, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
-
They've got a great selection of beers and reasonably priced drinks, like a pint and a brandy and coke for around £9, which feels fair.
-
Events like karaoke on Mondays and jam nights on Wednesdays add a real community vibe—it's a joy to join in and have a singalong.
-
The locals are a welcoming bunch, creating that warm, neighbourhood pub feel that's hard to beat.
Cons
-
There's no website listed, which makes it a bit tricky to check out the latest events or opening times before heading over.
-
The operating hours seem a tad inconsistent from what's listed, so you might want to double-check to avoid any surprises.
-
Being in Dagenham, it might not be the easiest spot for folks from further afield, though it's a gem if you're local.

Fantastic atmosphere! Saw a brilliant rock band called Kickin up Dust who I hope to see them there again. The staff were friendly, efficient and I really enjoyed my night there 😊
I went there for a karaoke night on a Monday night.
Justin was the KJ. It was my first time singing at his gig. I love it!
He's a great host and has one of the best sound systems in the circuit. Great dynamic and clarity. You can hear every breath you take. It's a joy to sing there. 😘
Admiral Vernon is a great place to go. Great Bands on the weekend, karaoke on Monday's and the very popular Jam night on Wednesday. Kath and all her staff are top dollar and the locals are a great bunch. It really is the best pub in Dagenham
Great local pub, live bands and staff are very good and offer a quick service, prices are not too bad a pint and a brandy and coke is around £9
