About This Pub
Ah, Adam & Eve in Mill Hill—it's one of those pubs that really captures the essence of a traditional British spot while keeping things fresh and inviting. I've got to say, the beer garden is a standout; it's expansive and perfect for soaking up the sun with a cold one in hand, or even bringing the dog along for a bit of fuss and fresh air. The food's another highlight—think hearty Sunday roasts and modern British fare that's locally sourced, with thoughtful options for those with dietary needs like coeliac disease, which is brilliant if you're watching what you eat. The staff are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat, and the overall atmosphere is just warm and homely, whether you're there for a casual drink or something more special like a comedy night or private event. On the flip side, though, parking's a bit tight, so you might have to plan ahead or walk from nearby, and I've heard a few tales of waits for food stretching longer than you'd hope, even on quieter days. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out—worth a visit if you're in the area, just keep those little niggles in mind to set your expectations right.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beer garden is an absolute delight, especially on a sunny day—plenty of space to relax and enjoy a pint with friends.
-
They're super dog-friendly, with treats and water bowls on offer, making it a welcoming spot if you're out with your furry mate.
-
The food is spot on, with seasonal British dishes and options for coeliacs like gluten-free fish and chips—always a treat for Sunday roasts too.
-
Friendly staff and a warm, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home, whether you're popping in for a quick drink or staying for the evening.
-
It's got a great vibe for events, from comedy nights upstairs to private hires, and the prices are reasonable for what you get.
Cons
-
Parking can be a bit of a hassle with limited spots, so you might end up walking a short way if it's busy.
-
Wait times for food can drag on occasionally, even when it's not packed, which might put a dampener on your visit.
-
While most experiences are positive, there are occasional letdowns like service slips, as mentioned in a few reviews.

This place is cute with lovely staff, games as well as a very nice beer garden! I'm coeliac and the food I can have on the menu is delicious, especially a fan of their hot wings (and they do gluten free fish & chips and burgers upon request!)
Very nice & friendly vibe (and dog friendly as well)
Would definitely recommend!
Lovely pub with a lovely garden! Amazing service, good value and delicious food. I have been a couple times and cannot complain one bit. Suitable for drinks with friends or family. Specifically fond of the bar staff named Marcus, lovely fella!
I recently visited the Adam & Eve in Mill Hill and, while the pub itself has a charming rustic feel, my overall experience was disappointing.
Firstly, parking is very limited, which may be an issue for some visitors. Although the pub wasn’t particularly busy during my visit, the wait for food was excessively long. Unfortunately, the staff, while not outright rude, lacked warmth and did not acknowledge or apologise for the delay.
When the food eventually arrived, it was underwhelming. The roast dinner, in particular, had small portion sizes that did not justify the price. The quality was average at best, making it difficult to justify the cost.
The one redeeming feature of the pub was its cosy atmosphere, with board games available to pass the time. However, unless you have an entire afternoon to spare and don’t mind spending a premium on an unremarkable meal, I wouldn’t recommend it.
Very nice and friendly pub. We hired the event room for wake, it was a great separated area that was bright and private. They just changed new owners, the couple is very helpful. We were able to go early to decorate the place and stay till late.
Lovely local pub! Expansive beer garden with plenty of seating. The pub spans across two floors, with loads of space.
Good selection of drinks behind the bar. Great range of food at reasonable prices, the small plates are delicious. Friendly staff and lovely open fireplace to stay warm.
