We had our wedding party at Catcher and it was amazing! JJ was the most wonderful host - nothing was too small an ask and he went above and beyond making the place look beautiful. All the staff on the night were lovely, attentive and friendly, a genuine joy. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how lovely everyone was. We would not hesitate to recommend hosting a party there or just popping in for a drink or for a Sunday roast. Thank you so much!
I hosted my birthday party here and had an incredible experience from start to finish. JJ was amazing throughout the whole process—supportive, responsive, and even offered to decorate the pub complimentary, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The food and buffet were absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Every member of staff was friendly, attentive, and helped create a welcoming atmosphere. My guests were all really happy and had a fantastic time. Highly recommend this venue for any celebration!

It is always a pleasure eating and drinking at the Catcher in the Rye. I’d strongly recommend the festive / Christmas set menus whether it is a work do or personal. You get a lot for your money, it is extremely competitive compared to other places in the area and the quality and portion sizes are great. The team puts in such an effort to create a festive atmosphere in the pub with decorations and crackers for the table. The service is as always impeccable.
This is our second year in a row booking the festive / Christmas set menu on a weeknight and this year’s meal was sublime and better than last year’s!
