About This Pub

Ah, 2025 Reform – it's one of those spots in Northampton that you pop into and think, 'This could be a regular haunt.' From what I've gathered chatting about it, the owner really knows how to make you feel welcome, and the food is a standout – proper hearty portions at prices that feel fair, ideal for a lazy afternoon or evening out. The atmosphere is just right for catching up with friends over a drink, all relaxed and unpretentious. But, let's be straight, it's not all roses; there are times when the service falls a bit flat, like when staff might overlook you or seem a touch miserable, which can take the shine off. Still, with an overall solid rating, it's worth giving it a go if you're in the area – just keep your expectations in check for those little niggles, and you might just have a brilliant time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The owner and some staff are absolutely lovely, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
  • The food is spot on – think beautiful, fresh dishes with huge portions and prices that won't break the bank.
  • It's got a relaxed, gentlemen's club vibe that's perfect for a chilled chat and a drink with mates.
  • The place is clean and welcoming, which always sets a nice tone for a visit.
Cons
  • There have been a few reports of certain staff being a bit off, like ignoring orders or not being the friendliest, which can put a damper on things.
  • Service can be hit or miss, with some waits for drinks or food that feel a tad longer than they'd ought to be.
  • Occasionally, you might run into issues like the kitchen closing unexpectedly, which could leave you a bit disappointed.
  • Not everyone seems to be on their best form, as a couple of reviews mentioned staff looking a bit down or unenthusiastic.

Amazing pub.amazing staff but only one problem that Ann new barstaff. Small with black hair. Nothing but trouble. Saturday she kept ignoring me when I wanted a drink or asked for change for the pool table. She used to work at jekly and hyde but was sacked from there due to her lies.and trouble. Now she brings it to a new place. Not very professional. She needs to get over herself she gets paid to serve customers so she should be professional and do it. The manager is a amazing and lovely lady I hope under the circumstances I can change my review and get the service I am paying for. But other then that thanks for the night well worth going.

Bit disappointed this time. Got there on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm place my food order then seconds after we heard the chef shouting "no more food order please". Luckily the bartender convinced him to cook one last time for us. That was good, however the serving was disappointing. First, the dish was not looking nice at all, then no cutlery at the table, then no tissues. I'll add a pic from last year which was really great. This is NOT what you will receive now. No salat, no coleslaw, no other sauces.

A very relaxed enjoyable visit, can only be described at a gentlemen's club atmosphere, with excellent attentive staff. Both food & drinks very keenly priced. If it's Fast Food you want go to McDonald's, if it's fresh good food, come here! Highly recommended for a relaxing chat & drink with friends in a welcoming atmosphere.😁

Came here on a wimb, as wanted to treat baby to his 1st breakfast out with me . Nice looking place , clean on entrance. Waited a bit for my coffee but gentleman Yonah serving me polite . There were 3 staff available but one thing needed was smiles , everyone looked morbid . Waited 20 minutes for breakfast and when it came looked good but scrambled eggs cold. Other then that it was good clean spacious establishment. A lot of space for buggy’s which is wonderful as my son is 7 mths old and I have a Bugaboo Cameleon 3.👍👍👍
