About This Pub
Ah, The Fish in Northampton – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its warm, homely feel and a bunch of positive vibes from the crowd. From what I've gathered, the bar staff are absolute gems, always up for a laugh and making sure everyone's sorted, which really sets the tone for a proper relaxed outing. The food's a highlight too; folks are raving about the roast dinners and burgers, saying they're top-notch and hit the spot every time, especially with that attentive service that keeps things running smoothly. It's brilliant for a daytime tipple or an evening with live music – imagine sinking into a comfy spot while a band plays in the background. But, to keep it real, there are a few bumps; that club sandwich at over a tenner left one person feeling short-changed, and it seems like food quality can vary, so maybe stick to the crowd-pleasers. All in all, it's a solid choice for us pub lovers looking for good company and a decent meal, as long as you go in with realistic expectations and perhaps skip the riskier menu items.

Comfortable environment and welcoming barstaff make for a cosy atmosphere, perfect for an afternoon tipple or two.
I cannot comment on the evening experience, as I do not tend to be in the town centre after dark, however I can wholeheartedly recommend for a cheeky daytime pint.
Was a good night went out for drinks with my son he was on leave from the royal navy went into a few pubs and we ended up in here bar staff friendly and some locals were chatty. Good band called latch were playing had a good night
Had roast dinner with my daughter last Sunday
Hands down the best roast dinner in Northampton. Highly recommend. Great service and food.
My recent experiences have left me utterly dismayed. Many establishments seem to have hopped aboard the price-hike train without a ticket to quality. This is my £11.75 Club Sandwich at the Fish Pub which felt like a rip-off. The bread, far from doorstep thickness, resembled something out of a supermarket aisle. And, brace yourself, an extra £1.50 for a handful of chips! So this sandwich meal came to whopping £13.25. A real letdown that begs the question. What has happened to our hospitality?
New menu in! Was absolutely amazing, from drinks to the vibe, it’s never a miss at the fish. Ellie is so attentive and the new girl on the bar was so lovely! I had the chicken burger and it deffo hit the spot! The fries are the best I’ve ever had, massive compliments to the chef:)
