About This Pub

Ah, Y Tai Brymbo – it's one of those pubs that really captures the heart of a community, isn't it? From what I've gathered from the chats online, it's got this inviting vibe where the staff bend over backwards to make you feel welcome, like you're catching up with old mates. The open fire adds a nice touch of cosiness, and it's brilliant for families or even bringing the dog along, with plenty of local events to get involved in. You'll likely leave with a smile and maybe a new acquaintance or two. But, to keep it real, there are a couple of downsides that popped up in the feedback – one person had a rough time with the manager being a bit sharp, and there were grumbles about the place not being as spotless as you'd hope, with mentions of messy floors and a hair in the food. Still, with such a strong overall feel-good factor, it's worth a try if you're in the area, just go in with an open mind and keep an eye on things.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, always ready with a smile and a chat that makes you feel right at home.
  • It's got a lovely, cosy atmosphere with an open fire, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a pint in a family and dog-friendly setting.
  • They really embrace the community spirit, supporting local events and creating a fun, inclusive vibe where you can make new friends.
  • As a local spot, it's inexpensive and open every day from midday till midnight, making it easy to pop in for a casual drink.
Cons
  • There have been complaints about the manager being quite rude in some instances, which could put a damper on your visit.
  • A few reviews mentioned the place not being as clean as it should be, with dirty floors and even a hair found in food, which is disappointing.
  • Recent feedback shows a bit of a mixed bag, so it might not always live up to the high overall rating.

Literally the friendliest pub! Everytime we go there’s always someone to talk to and always a smile and a laugh. Joe and Mike are always so welcoming. Family and dog friendly. Pop in, have a drink and make some new friends. Wouldn’t drink anywhere else!
