About This Pub
Ah, The King William Inn – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its friendly buzz and welcoming locals, isn't it? I've got to say, from what I've seen, it's a brilliant spot for a casual pint or a full night of fun, with karaoke and quiz nights that really get the crowd going. The beer is always on point, and those bar snacks like homemade soups sound like a treat to pair with your drink. Plus, with a pool table, big screen for the match, and a beer garden for when the weather's playing ball, there's plenty to keep you entertained. On the flip side, though, there was that one tale of a mix-up with change that left someone feeling a bit miffed – it's a shame when a small error like that overshadows an otherwise great visit. Overall, if you're after a proper local haunt with heart, I'd give it a go, but maybe keep an eye on the service to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible. It's all about that balance, right?

Being a bit off the beaten track in Summerhill might make it tricky to pop in if you're not local, though that's part of its charm.
-
Some reviews suggest the atmosphere could occasionally feel inconsistent, depending on who's behind the bar.

Was actually a nice little pub but paid with £20 for drinks that came to £8.50 and had £1.50 change, and when we politely queried it, the woman was rude and impolite. Hope they have cameras so they can see the mistake. Disappointing when your trying to spend money in small businesses.
Love this place. Friendly staff and locals who couldn’t be more helpful. Will miss having a drink and a catch up with everyone when I leave in a couple of days 🍻

First impressions really good. Stopped in for a pint researching pubs in the area. Pretty sure I've found my new local. Trish and Glenn were very welcoming and love their vision of what a community pub should be.
