About This Pub

You know, when I think about TAG Cafe, it's one of those places that just hits the spot for a relaxed catch-up with friends. The staff are genuinely lovely, always greeting you with a smile and making sure everything's just right, which really adds to that homely atmosphere with its fairy lights and inviting setup. They've got an impressive range of drinks and food – think flavoured lattes, plant-based milks, and options that cater well to veggies and vegans, so it's spot on if you're after something a bit healthier or different. It's become a bit of a hub for the locals, where people pop in to chill and chat, and you can see why it's built such a loyal following. On the flip side, it's primarily a coffee shop, so if you're in the mood for a proper pub session with beers or spirits, you might find it a tad limited. Plus, the opening times aren't always straightforward, so it's worth planning ahead to avoid any surprises. All in all, it's a cracking place for a casual meet-up, and I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy a break from the bigger chains.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely charming and welcoming, with fairy lights and a cosy vibe that makes you want to linger and chat with mates.
  • Friendly staff who provide top-notch service, always making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • A fantastic variety of drinks and food options, including loads of flavours for lattes and plenty of choices for veggies and vegans.
  • It's a real community favourite, where the neighbourhood comes together to catch up over delicious brews and bites – a proper local gem that's gone from strength to strength.
Cons
  • As it's more of a coffee shop than a full-on pub, you won't find much in the way of alcoholic drinks, which might disappoint if you're after a pint or a cocktail.
  • The opening hours can vary a bit, so it's wise to double-check before heading out, especially if you're planning a spontaneous visit.

A true local gem! I lived in the area when it opened and knew even during lockdown when they could only offer to-go service that it would be something special, and TAG has gone from strength to strength since then. Out of many options (including large chains) it immediately became the preferred spot for my household to grab a quick drink and a treat to take away or to sit in and having something to eat. After moving halfway across the country, I still haven't found a place that rivals TAG and whenever I'm near London I make a detour to experience the positive atmosphere and wonderful selection of food and drinks on offer. I have brought many people from all over the UK and even some from across the pond and everyone has been blown away by the offerings, which are both varied and very reasonably priced for the size and quality. The vegetarian options are fantastic and dietary information is available for people with restrictions. The menu includes seasonal items including not just drinks but freshly made sandwiches and baked goodies so there's always something new and exciting to try as well as the classic favourites. The range of TAG tea lattes are a must try, pairing excellently with treats like the chocolate banana bread and I haven't found a better espresso brownie anywhere else! If the amazing menu wasn't enough, the staff are welcoming and friendly, as well as managing good turnaround times for even large orders of food and drinks. The owner (Hov) is a shining example of what it means to be a community minded local business owner, his passion for his work and his community is evident in everything he does and he attracts staff that share his enthusiasm. If you're looking for a local business that offers a tasty menu with hospitality that makes you feel like you're visiting an old friend, then you simply must make a visit to TAG!

Drinks, food and services are amazing here. Tag is so much more than just a cafe in Pinner. It's "The Place" where the whole neighbourhood likes to hang out and chill to catch up with friends over food or drinks. It's an amazing place! So to anyone who is reading this review and considering to visit I'd say just don't think twice. Go ahead and start making plans already 😊
