About This Pub
Ah, the Wheatsheaf – it's one of those pubs that just hits the spot, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place has this brilliant atmosphere that's spot on for everything from casual meet-ups to watching the game with your lot. The staff are dead friendly and really make an effort to keep things running smoothly, which is always a plus when you're settling in for a chat and a drink. The food's another winner; that roast chicken dinner sounds like a proper treat, especially if you've just finished something like a half marathon, and the chilli sauce gets a big thumbs up too. Plus, with pool and darts on hand, and a lovely outdoor spot for when the weather's playing ball, it's got plenty to keep you entertained without breaking the bank on drinks. On the flip side, the operating hours look a tad muddled, so you might want to double-check before you head out to avoid any surprises. And it's a shame about the website being hard to access – it'd be handy for planning ahead. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, with more highs than lows, and I'd say it's worth giving it a go if you're in Chelmsford.
