About This Pub
Ah, Waxy O'Connor's – it's one of those pubs that really sticks in your mind, isn't it? From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with this incredible sense of wonder, thanks to the stunning interior that mixes Gothic vibes with a cosy Irish feel, complete with a massive tree at its heart. I've heard from mates that it's like wandering into another world, and the food doesn't disappoint either – think hearty homemade dishes and a proper pint of Guinness that goes down a treat. The service is spot on too, always friendly and efficient, which makes the whole experience feel welcoming and fun. They're big on live music and sports, so if you're up for some GAA, rugby, or even a gig, it's the ideal spot to gather with friends. On the flip side, it can get absolutely heaving, especially on match days or weekends, so you might have to plan ahead or risk not finding a seat, and the buzz can turn a tad noisy if you're after a mellow evening. All in all, it's a fantastic choice for a night out in London, as long as you're up for the lively crowd and don't mind splashing out a bit – I'd say give it a go if you're in the area!

The unique setup might feel a bit overwhelming or noisy on lively nights, which could make it tricky for a quiet chat.
-
Being in central London, it's moderately priced but still on the dearer side for a casual night out, so keep an eye on the bill.

Ambience: 10/10 every neck and cranny of this place is an incredible feast for eyes and feeling like we are in Scotland and in the culture and in an old building
A busy little pub. Worth getting there a little early we struggled to find a seat. The atmosphere was great through and the decor is very unique and unexpected in central London. Almost feels like a church.
One of, if not the coolest bar in London. Amazing interior design and after more than several visits, I still see something new every time. Where I had my first decent pint of Guinness as well. Not had the food yet but it’s always looked delicious and I’ve heard great things
Waxy O’Connor’s is stunning! The woodwork, stained glass, and massive tree in the middle make it feel like a mix between a Gothic church and a cozy Irish pub. It has such a unique atmosphere - like stepping into another world. Just soaking it all in with a drink in hand. Waxy’s is one of those places where you can completely lose yourself in the vibe.
Loved, loved, loved the pub! I will definitely go back again.
This pub is awesome! Great interior design (the indoor tree looks great), live music starting at 10pm (on some nights), friendly staff. Nice vibe overall.
