About This Pub
Ah, The White Horse in Soho – it's one of those unassuming gems that you stumble upon and end up chatting about over pints with mates. From the reviews I've come across, the staff really stand out; they're helpful and professional, like Claude who left a lasting impression on visitors from abroad, or the knowledgeable lady behind the bar who knows her beers inside out. The food's a winner too – think hearty fish and chips or those fish finger sandwiches that hit the spot without breaking the bank, all served in a clean environment with that classic pub charm. It's perfect for a quiet catch-up away from the Soho hustle, especially if you're after a good selection of drinks. On the downside, you might find a few things missing from the menu now and then, which could put a damper on things, and service isn't always as engaging as you'd hope – one person mentioned the barman seemed a bit detached, which is a shame when the rest is so inviting. All in all, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening, but keep expectations realistic for the odd off moment.

Cons

-
Service isn't always on point; it can feel a bit uninterested at times, as if the team are having an off day.

We were hungry for some "fish and chips" and we picked this place. Claude was our server and he topped it off. He was friendly, professional and was helpful. We were visiting from LA and he left a super positive impression on us from our night. Thank you Claude. You are a great asset anywhere you work. Great job. 👍
Seems every pub in Soho was jammed except here. Yet it was a clean place with a variety of beers and spirits, all Samuel Smith brands mind you. I liked it
The lady behind the bar was helpful and knew her stuff too
Excellent beer and food, a great London atmosphere, and Jake's service was incredible. We'll be back 🙌🏻

This was a very unassuming location. We walked in off the street looking for a relatively quiet place to chat and enjoy a meal. We made our way upstairs to a semi-secluded dining room away from the busy pub downstairs. The server/bartender made some great food and drink recommendations for us. He was very attentive.
Really enjoyed our fish finger sandwiches with chips or sweet potato fries.
Good value,filling and tasty.
There were a lot of things not available, like hot chocolate and sausages.
The barman/waiter was rather uninterested in hospitality !!
Luckily the food was good.
