About This Pub

Oh, let me tell you about Vindinista – it's one of those spots that just makes you smile the moment you walk in. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the wine selection is spot on, with plenty of intriguing choices that go beyond the usual suspects, and the team behind the bar are absolute stars, always ready with a tip or two without making you feel out of your depth. It's got this lovely, homely vibe that turns a simple drink into a proper treat, especially with those tasty platters to nibble on. On the flip side, though, it's a small place, so it can get a bit snug if it's lively, and with closures midweek, it might not always fit into your plans. All in all, it's a fantastic spot for wine enthusiasts looking for something genuine and fun, but keep in mind it shines best for casual visits rather than big nights out.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The wine selection is absolutely fantastic, with a great mix of unique and interesting bottles that cater to all tastes – it's like discovering hidden treasures every visit.
  • The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly; they make you feel right at home with their warm recommendations and genuine passion for wine.
  • The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a solo unwind, and they offer delightful extras like cheese and charcuterie platters to pair with your drinks.
  • It's got that neighbourhood charm, with options for tastings and even an online shop for easy ordering and delivery if you fancy a tipple at home.
Cons
  • It's only open a few days a week, which can be a bit of a nuisance if you're planning a midweek outing.
  • Being a small venue, it might feel a tad cramped during busier times, so it's not ideal for larger groups or if you prefer more space to spread out.
  • The focus is very much on wine, so if you're after a full meal or something beyond light bites, you might need to look elsewhere.

A true hidden gem! As a wine lover, I am always looking for new places to try out. Vindinista has not only an amazing selection of wine, but the best possible atmosphere. You really feel at home in there! Staff is so nice, knowledgeable and friendly / they will do everything possible to find you a table and make sure you are consistent (the placr gets pretty busy on Fridays!). Prices are great, nibbles are nice, honestly an 11/10 experience!

What an excellent night at Vindinista, superb wine, excellent recommendations from the very knowledgeable owner Halle who is so warm and welcoming and takes the 'snob' out of wine tasting. They also serve platters of gorgeous cheese and charcuterie to accompany, which just elevates the wines even more! Definitely take advice – with their knowledge you will be introduced to new wines that you perhaps have never considered, they stock a wide selection to suit all pockets and tastes. Our first visit but definitely not our last. What a great spot to meets with friends and try new and exciting wines in a cosy and attractive environment. A real local gem.

A beautiful little wine shop and bar with an excellent selection of wines, quite a few from interesting origin. The team here are very knowledgeable and attentive. A very pleasant place to pick up a bottle or come for a tasting and some light bites.

Vindinista Wine Shop & Wine Bar is a true gem in our community. They are doing remarkable work in curating a fantastic selection of wines that cater perfectly to local tastes. What sets Vindinista apart is their commitment to supporting small-scale wine importers, giving us access to unique and exceptional wines that we might not find elsewhere. One thing I particularly appreciate is how they recommend wines not based on price tags but on their unique taste and quality. It’s a refreshing approach that encourages customers to focus on the experience each bottle offers, rather than just the cost. This dedication to quality over price ensures that every visit is an opportunity to discover something truly special. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine while exploring new favorites. I wish the team at Vindinista all the best and continued success. It's wonderful to see such dedication to quality and community, and I'm looking forward to seeing the business thrive even more in the future.
