About This Pub
Oh, what a treat Vicolo Del Vino is – it's one of those places that just draws you in with its warm, welcoming vibe and that touch of something special in the heart of Rochdale. I have to say, the staff really make it shine; they're so approachable and create this homely feel that makes chatting with mates over a drink an absolute pleasure. The live music and lively crowd add a brilliant buzz, especially as the night wears on, and it's clear why folks rave about it – the drinks are spot on for value, and it feels like a hidden gem with a unique twist that you don't often find around here. But, let's be honest, it's not all perfect; I've heard a few grumbles about the menu being a bit outdated, so if you're hoping for a hearty meal, you might end up with just some snacks, which could leave you wanting more. Plus, it can feel a tad quiet at certain times, like early doors on a Friday, so planning your visit for when it's in full swing is key. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good night out, as long as you go in with the right expectations – I'd definitely pop back for the atmosphere and that welcoming spirit.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
-
It's got a fantastic atmosphere, especially later in the evening with live music and a lively crowd that really gets the energy going.
-
Drinks are good value for money, and from what some regulars say, the food sounds promising when it's on offer.
-
This place has a unique, almost hidden gem feel in Rochdale, with a forward-thinking vibe that sets it apart from the usual spots.
Cons
-
The menu seems a bit out of date, so if you're after a proper meal like tapas, you might just find snacks instead, which can be disappointing.
-
It can lack atmosphere at quieter times, like early evening on a Friday, so timing your visit might make all the difference.
-
With inconsistent operating hours, it's worth double-checking before heading out to avoid any surprises.

Was so excited to eat here based on what I had read on the website and expected tapas to be available. Apparently this menu is very out of date and this is not really a food place, just snack type food available. A few people were in drinking but at 7pm on a Friday night it had no atmosphere and the two staff were disinterested. Such a disappointment!
What a little gem.....love this place...super friendly staff good value for drinks and food great atmosphere and ambience....highly recommended
Very fun venue to be! Live singing. nice lively people... unfortunately I was not drunk enaugh. 🤣 the later the evening the better it's getting i guess...😂😜
I went here for the first time last night for the first time. I only went for drinks and to listen to some live music, however after talking to some regulars I will definitely be back to have food as it sounds amazing.
The staff and management are great and seem to be very forward thinking regarding the business.
The decor and setting are amazing and live music is on regularly.
I am looking forward to going back soon.
Beautiful. If someone took you here blindfolded you would never guess you were in Rochdale. It's quite unique for a town centre bar and a lovely place. We only had time for a couple of drinks, meal booked elsewhere, but we are looking forward to returning and staying longer.
