About This Pub

Ah, Two Towns Down Brewing – what a gem tucked away in Paisley! From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's clear that this place really shines with its top-quality craft beers, inspired by the local community and brewed on site. I love how they've got such a varied lineup, from straightforward lagers to more adventurous pales and stouts, and the option for a beer flight makes it easy to dive in without overwhelming yourself. The team there comes across as genuinely approachable and eager to help, whether you're asking about an event you missed or just seeking advice on what to try next. It's got that homely atmosphere that makes you want to linger, especially with bits like live music adding to the fun. But, on the flip side, it's not without its quirks – the opening times can be a tad erratic, mostly weekends, so you'll need to plan ahead or keep an eye on their socials to avoid disappointment. Plus, being a smaller spot, it might not suit larger groups or those after a more expansive venue. Overall, though, if you're a fan of good beer and a relaxed vibe, I'd say it's well worth a visit; it's got that authentic Scottish charm that leaves you smiling and eager to return.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beers are absolutely brilliant – they've got a fantastic selection, from tasty pale ales to interesting stouts, all brewed right here in Paisley.
  • The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful; it's like chatting with mates who know their stuff, making every visit feel welcoming.
  • They offer beer flights, which is a great way to sample a few options without committing to a full pint – perfect for trying something new.
  • There's a lovely community vibe, with events like live music and the chance to pop in for a quick half before heading out.
  • Customer service is top-notch; they're always ready to assist, whether it's about events or recommendations.
Cons
  • Opening hours can be a bit unpredictable, often limited to weekends or specific times, so it's wise to check their website or social media first.
  • It's a small taproom, which means it might feel cosy to the point of getting crowded quickly on busier days.
  • With only a handful of reviews out there, it doesn't seem to be on everyone's radar yet, so you might miss out if you're not in the know.
  • The place isn't open every day, which could be a downside if you're hoping for a spontaneous visit during the week.

Amazing customer service. I was in touch over messenger about an event I couldn't make. They couldn't be more helpful. Lovely beers and will definitely be back. Thanks . Paul

I found out recently that they have a taproom that's open on a Saturday, so I decided to pay a visit. Good selection of beers. 10 hand pumps which is impressive. Try a beer flight. It gives you a sample of their beers (5x thirds of a pint) to try before you go onto the big boy pints.

Made a flying visit before a match nearby at St Mirren. First in at 2pm sharp as shutters opened. Quick half and some cans to go for drinking back home (dropped back in car on way to the ground). Very friendly and wished I could have stayed for an afternoon. A great wee taproom.

Small, but growing, brewery in Paisley run by a lovely family. The taproom is now open most weekends, and they've added live music too. They always have about 9 of their own beers on tap, from standard lager to some really interesting pale ales and stouts. Recommended.

Seriously good craft beers made right here in Paisley. Right now taproom sessions are limited so it’s best to check Instagram to see the next opening times.
