About This Pub

Ah, Two Steeples in Wigston – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local haunt, you know? From the moment you walk in, the staff are on top form, all smiles and eager to help, making it easy to settle in for a good chat or a family gathering. The food really shines too; I've heard rave reviews about the steak and ale pie and those juicy burgers, and with deals like two courses for £20 including drinks, it's brilliant value without breaking the bank. Plus, it's got that family-friendly edge with the Wacky Warehouse and a charming beer garden for when the weather plays along. But let's be fair, it's not flawless – occasionally, something might come out a bit cooler than you'd hope, like a steak that could've done with a few more minutes under the grill. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening; whether you're popping in for brunch, to catch an event, or just for a quiet drink, you'll likely leave feeling glad you went. If you're in the area, I'd say give it a try – it's got that homely vibe that makes you want to come back for more.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are absolutely brilliant – always friendly, warm, and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, just like chatting with old mates.
  • The food is spot on; think juicy burgers, hearty steaks, and generous portions that leave you satisfied, with great value deals like the two for £20 that make it a bargain.
  • It's wonderfully family-friendly, with things like the Wacky Warehouse and a beer garden, perfect for a relaxed day out with the little ones or a catch-up with friends.
  • They've got a lovely beer garden that's ideal for enjoying a pint in the fresh air, whether it's after work or on a sunny weekend.
  • Regular offers and events add a fun twist, like Pride celebrations or brunch specials, keeping things lively and giving you more reasons to pop in.
Cons
  • Now and then, a dish might not arrive piping hot, as one person noted with their steak, which is a bit of a shame when you're tucking into something tasty.
  • It's a straightforward, no-frills pub, so if you're after something a tad more upscale or unique, it might not quite hit the mark for a special occasion.

We came here one evening for a drink and something to eat. We were warmly welcomed and served excellently by Dan and Remel. We had the Chicken Sharer which was delicious! Would definitely come here again.

I recently visited Two Steeples Pub in Wigston, and I must say, it was an excellent experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the steak and ale pie, and it was hearty and full of flavor, with a perfectly flaky crust. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was cooked to perfection. My partner had the fish and chips, which was equally tasty and freshly prepared. A special mention goes to our waitress Sim, who made our experience even better. She was friendly, attentive, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It’s clear that Sim takes pride in providing excellent service, making us feel welcome and valued. Her warm and professional manner really stood out. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a nice mix of locals and visitors. Overall, a fantastic pub with delicious food and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone in the area!

Service was amazing. The waitress was warm and friendly. Helped us greatly in selecting what we wanted. She went above and beyond. The steak was amazing however it arrived a little colder than I would have hoped for. However the pancakes more than made up for it.
