About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about the Tunny Catch in Scarborough – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a breath of fresh air. From what I've gathered from the reviews and their website, it's got this modern, stylish setup that's perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates or a family outing. The staff really stand out; they're friendly, quick with service, and always ready for a bit of banter, which makes the whole place feel warm and inviting. The food is another highlight – think hearty pub lunches, pizzas, and a cracking selection of cocktails that pack a punch, all at a moderate price that won't break the bank, especially with those tempting offers like 30% off mains. Plus, the outdoor area is a gem for sunnier days, and being dog-friendly means you can pop in with your four-legged friend without a worry. On the flip side, it's not all roses; there've been a couple of grumbles about management not always hitting the mark, like one instance where things felt a tad unprofessional, and the odd service slip-up with bookings. Still, with an overall rating of 4.3 and most folks raving about the atmosphere and grub, I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're after a good time in Scarborough – just keep those positives in mind and you'll likely have a cracking evening.

Have been coming here for years, the food is tasty and quick even though it was busy! All the staff All the staff were lovely but a shout out to Lauren C, she was funny kind and a total professional Also the barman that supports Chelsea having bants with my 10 year old was lovely as well!
Definitely worth a visit if you haven't been
I was very impressed with this pub, the staff were really friendly and the pub had a lovely atmosphere.
There's a great choice on the menu with lots of options for vegetarians. The service was very quick and you can order on your phone or up at the bar.
Prices were pretty average for what is served locally.
The food was well cooked, fresh and hot. Portion sizes were good and the menu had calorie inform.
Over all the experience felt uneasy, most staff were lovely and professional however the manager as I believe he was, was unprofessional , leaving his laptop open and exposed to customers which is a data breach , stating to the staff very loudly that “there is enough for you to manage” and one comment I did not like if when speaking to lady customers he stated “I make the rules” Following this the overall standard of food was poor although it tasted good , both our main meal and pudding looked like it had been cooked prior and reheated to serve. Lastly it wasn’t the worse experience as the bar staff were lovely welcoming.
We had booked a table online on a Friday night. There is a dedicated car park just outside with plenty of spaces available. The slight hitch was that they couldn't find the booking for whatever reason, but thankfully, we got a table. From then on, things just got getting better. The menu has an excellent spread of starters, mains, and dessert. We order through the phone via the QR code at the table. The turnaround was very quick with friendly staff and excellent service. The food was excellent, and we all loved it. We will definitely be visiting again!
