About This Pub
Oh, let me tell you about Newlands Park Hotel – it's one of those places that really stands out for its friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome, almost like you're popping round to a mate's house. I love how they've sorted out those heated outdoor areas; they're spot on for when the weather turns a bit chilly, and it's just grand for soaking up the atmosphere with a pint in hand. If you're into sports, you'll be chuffed because they show all the matches, and the selection of beers is spot on too. Then there are the quiz nights and live bands that keep things entertaining and full of energy – it's proper fun for a night out with friends. On the downside, it does get packed, and it has that busy city pub feel, which isn't everyone's cup of tea if you're after somewhere more low-key. Plus, no food on offer means you'll need to plan ahead for a bite to eat. And honestly, it's a bit gutting to think it might be closed these days, as the reviews suggest it was a cracking spot back when it was buzzing. All in all, if you can catch it when it's open, it's worth a go for a good laugh and some quality time.

It's nicely decorated and has a real community feel, making it a fun place for a get-together.
Cons
-
It can get quite busy and feel like a city centre pub, which might not suit those after a more relaxed, quiet vibe.
-
They don't serve food, so you'll have to head elsewhere if you're looking for a meal with your drinks.

The WiFi is only available in certain spots, like the pool room, which could be a bit inconvenient.
-
It seems the place might be closed at the moment, based on the latest info, which is a real shame for such a popular spot.

Excellent atmosphere and staff all Very welcoming would recommend you pop in if your passing on if on your holiday Google don't serve food but great place to visit and Jo isa great landlady wouldn't get a better one 🥰🥰
Great beer, isn't that how every pub review should start? Pleasant atmosphere and staff. WiFi I found had to be accessed in the pool room area. Good group of patrons in the pub, with no drop kicks to be seen.
Used to visit here when we first went to Scarborough but this is the first visit in a long time. The new owners have turned it round but it is not for us. It is very popular and if you like busy places then it will suit you. It's like a city centre pub. It is nicely decorated and if you like sports then it shows the football and has a pool table. No doubt it would be quite mid week.
Brilliant pub, cracking atmosphere and great beers. Quiz night on a Thursday is always really entertaining. Gets some really good bands.
