About This Pub
Ah, Truth Hurts Brewery – what a lovely find in Morley, Leeds! From the reviews I've seen, it's clear this place knows how to make you feel welcome right from the off, with staff who go the extra mile to chat and offer suggestions based on what you're after. The beers are a real highlight; they're local, varied, and offer brilliant value, making it easy to while away an evening sampling a few. Plus, if you're out with your dog, it's one of those rare spots that rolls out the red carpet with treats and water – just adds to that homely feel. On the flip side, though, it's not open every day, so you'll need to keep an eye on the schedule to avoid disappointment, and the hours can vary a bit, which might throw a spanner in the works for impromptu plans. Overall, it's a gem for beer lovers looking for a chilled-out vibe, but it might not be the best if you're after something more consistent or with a wider food selection. I'd say it's well worth a visit if you're in the area – just pop in when you can!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely brilliant and make you feel right at home, with their warm and friendly chats that really add to the experience.
-
It's super dog-friendly, offering water and treats for your furry mates, making it a welcoming spot for pet owners.
-
They've got a fantastic range of local beers that's great value for money, with plenty of unique options to suit all tastes.
-
The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed, with good music at just the right volume so you can actually chat without shouting.
-
The vibe is modern yet inviting, perfect for a laid-back night out with friends.
Cons
-
It only opens about four days a week, which means you might have to plan your visit in advance and miss out if you're spontaneous.
-
The operating hours can be a bit inconsistent, especially on Sundays when times vary, so it's worth double-checking before heading over.
-
From what I can tell, there might not be much on the food front beyond what's supplied by external kitchens, so it could feel limited if you're after a full meal.

Went there for the first time last night and really impressed. Dog friendly with good music playing, and at the right volume that I could actually have a conversation with my friend…
The barman (might have been the manager aswell?) was a top bloke who was so friendly. Will definetely be back in future.
Absolutely brilliant, warm and friendly staff especially Gillian on a Saturday night. We had our golden here and he felt right at home with water and treats. So lovely and cosy, great night 🥰
