About This Pub

Ah, the Travellers Rest – it's one of those classic pubs that just draws you in with its warm, homely feel. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, most people rave about the friendly staff and locals who make every visit feel like catching up with old mates. The beer is spot on, and the prices are so reasonable that you can enjoy a few rounds without worrying about the wallet. That garden out back is a real gem, especially when the weather's playing nice, giving you a peaceful spot to relax and soak in the atmosphere. On the flip side, though, there have been a couple of grumbles about things like dirty glasses, which is a shame and could spoil an otherwise great night. Overall, with a solid 4.2 rating, it's mostly positive experiences here, but it's always good to go in with your eyes open so you can make the most of it. If you're after a straightforward, affordable pub outing, this one's worth a try – just maybe give your glass a quick once-over when it arrives!

Ok pub providing you don't mind sharing the lipstick of the previous user of your glass. Took the offending glass back to the bar, It was replaced with another glass just as dirty. Don't think we'll be regulars.

Brilliant time, Alan and Emma were great hosts. Very hospitable and polite, even lit the fire when they saw me shiver. Couldn't ask for better service, looking forward to the karaoke on Saturday. Beautiful garden, and certainly made new friends.
