About This Pub

Ah, Thirsty? Alehouse in Blackpool – what a lovely little find it is! From the reviews, it's clear folks are absolutely chuffed with the place; everyone raves about the brilliant selection of ales and ciders, all at prices that won't break the bank, making it a go-to for anyone after a quality pint without the fuss. The staff sound like absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure you feel welcome, which really sets the tone for a relaxed evening. Throw in some great music, fun events, and that nice garden area for a bit of fresh air, and you've got yourself a proper cosy spot. But, let's be honest, it's not without its drawbacks – it's only open a couple of days a week, which might mean you'll have to plan ahead rather than just dropping in on a whim. The hours are a tad restricted too, so if you're after somewhere for a late one, you might be out of luck. Still, if you're in the area and timings work out, it's well worth a visit for that authentic pub experience with a community feel – just pair it with a meal from nearby if you're peckish!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer selection is absolutely brilliant, with a fantastic range of real ales and ciders at really good prices – perfect for anyone who loves a proper pint.
  • The staff are so welcoming and friendly; they make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's got a lovely atmosphere with great music and events, like DJ nights or special gatherings, which really add to the fun.
  • There's a nice garden area for enjoying a drink outdoors, especially on a sunny day in Blackpool.
  • Overall, it's a hidden gem with high praise from visitors, boasting a cracking 4.9 rating for its cosy vibe and community feel.
Cons
  • It's only open a couple of days a week, which is a bit of a shame if you're hoping to pop in spontaneously.
  • The hours are limited, typically starting around 2 PM and wrapping up by 11 PM, so it might not suit late-night plans.
  • From what I've seen, they don't seem to serve food yet, though they might be planning to – that could leave you needing to head elsewhere for a bite.

Great food and music. Went for the seaside shellingz event on April 26th. Really good prices and got a nice garden area. Nice to see them in touch with demand by selling Magnums 🍻

This pub is just a short walk from the centre of Blackpool and was well worth the visit. The staff were very friendly, there was a brilliant selection of well priced ales and cider and they played a great mix of music. We were told that they’re considering starting to serve food soon and we were given a sample and it was delicious! Would definitely recommend a visit and we’ll be back next time we’re in Blackpool.

Came for a swift pint , they had actual Budvar on draught. Superb stuff. stayed all night. Real good old fashioned sense of culture in a pub, something these big Wetherspoons etc lack. Land lady was fantastic, beer was well priced loads to choose from. Made some new friends and a lad was playing the acoustic guitar all night. Can’t wait to come back in summer, well worth the walk from Blackpool North Station. Favourite bar in Blackpool 🍺 Cheers !

Thirsty?? Absolutely! This micro yet spacious alehouse is a hidden gem and it’s now our new favourite place to enjoy a refreshing pint in blackpool. Stylish with a relaxing atmosphere and welcoming staff. Good selection of ales, spirits and bar snacks on offer! Excellent idea to have the ale leaderboard next to the bar. I was really impressed with the lay out and decor. What a fantastic job you’ve done!!!! Thank you for a pleasant experience, we’ll be back again soon.
