About This Pub

Ah, Rhythm and Brew Room, what a lovely spot it is in the heart of Blackpool! I've got to say, if you're a fan of cracking beers and a bit of live music, this place really hits the mark. Picture yourself settling in with a pint from their own Pool Brewing Co – that stout is just stouty goodness, as one mate put it – and enjoying the chilled-out atmosphere with some top tunes playing. The staff are always chipping in with great advice on what to try, making it feel like you're catching up with old friends rather than just popping in for a drink. It's got that proper community vibe, especially during gigs, where the energy really picks up. On the flip side, it might not be the busiest place if you turn up early doors, so you could find it a tad quiet if you're in the mood for a proper buzz. And while the beers steal the show, there doesn't seem to be much on the food front, which is a shame if you're looking to line your stomach before diving into the drinks. All in all, it's a solid choice for a relaxed night out – just plan ahead and you'll have a whale of a time!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beer selection is absolutely spot on – they've got a cracking range from their own Pool Brewing Co and beyond, perfect for anyone who loves a good ale or stout.
  • Live music adds such a brilliant vibe; it's the go-to place in Blackpool for catching some divine tunes and soaking up that community feel.
  • The staff are dead friendly and always up for a chat, making you feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • It's a spacious venue with plenty of comfy seating areas, so you can find your own little nook or join the buzz, whatever you're in the mood for.
Cons
  • It can be a bit quiet during off-peak times, especially early in the evening, so if you're after a lively crowd, you might want to time your visit just right.
  • Food options seem limited – from what I've heard, it's mostly about the beers, so if you're hoping for a full meal, you might need to head elsewhere first.

Played a gig there last night. I'm not a local but if I was this would be one of my haunts. Nice big venue, friendly staff and community feel. Have their own brewery, I only tried their stout but it was nice and stouty and would buy again. Quite a big layout yet plenty of 'separate' seating areas so when there is live music on you can sit elsewhere and enjoy the music but still have the ability to hold a conversation without shouting. Clean environment, plenty to look at while in the men's bathroom (stickers/posters etc. 😆) A lovely pub and well worth a visit if you're in Blackpool! ,👍

What a surprise! Birthplace of Blackpool FC, now a brewery tap. Cracking range of beers and great wines too.

Excellent beers so many to choose from and the bar owner is very happy to advise you on what beers to try, if your in Blackpool you have to visit here.

5 stars for beer selection and the ambience of the place. Early on so quietish, the atmosphere was relaxed, mostly an older 'pub' crowd and a few beer-tickers. It's an old building and the decor is sympathetic to its age, seating is comfortable & plentiful. The only menu I saw was for beer so not sure if they do food - not what I went in for anyway 🤷🏼‍♂️ Dunno if it turns into a 'party pub' later on but had an enjoyable couple of pints chatting. The area above the church & winter gardens has quite a few decent pubs nowadays, the traditional "kiss me quick" vibe persists with cheaper pints of big brewery keg beer, karaoke & sky sports still available at trad pubs off the main drag if that's what you're after, but you have some choice, which is nice...

We own another venue in a similar vain to this one and were very impressed with this place during a recent trip to Blackpool. Lovely beers, great range and very well kept. Staff and manageress were very accommodating. Live music wasn’t our usual genre but were tight musically and brought a good crowd and atmosphere. No food on but the bar snacks were a better range than most.
