You know, when I think about The Windmill in Great Yarmouth, it really stands out as a cracking spot for a relaxed evening, especially if you're mad about darts – they've got five boards set up and host weekly comps, plus a youth academy that's spot on for getting the little ones involved. The staff are just lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everyone feels welcome, which adds to that warm, fun atmosphere. It's inexpensive too, so you won't break the bank on drinks from their well-stocked bar, and they've got live music popping up now and then for an extra bit of excitement. On the downside, it's a bit of a shame they don't have any real ale, just the gassed-up options, and I've heard tales of some folks getting a tad abusive with their language during the darts sessions, which can put a damper on things. Oh, and the toilets are clean enough, but that dryer not working is a minor annoyance. All in all, it's a solid choice for a good time with mates, as long as you go in with your eyes open to the rough edges – I'd say it's worth checking out for the positives alone.
