About This Pub
Ah, let me tell you about Tombstone Brewery & Saloon Bar – it's one of those places that just hits the spot if you're after a proper pint in Great Yarmouth. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the beers are an absolute highlight; they've got this fantastic lineup of their own brews, like the smooth Tombstone plum porter or the zesty Amarillo, which folks rave about for being fresh and full of flavour. The team behind the bar are dead welcoming too, always up for a chat and dishing out tips on what to try, making you feel right at home even if it's your first time. It's got that cosy, community vibe that's perfect for unwinding after a day out, and the prices won't leave you out of pocket, which is a win in my book. On the downside, it's a smaller spot, so it can get a bit packed on busier evenings, and there isn't much food on offer – you'd probably want to sort that out before heading in. All in all, it's a solid choice for beer lovers seeking a genuine, hearty experience, but it might not be everyone's cup of tea if you're after something more spacious or with a full menu.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The beers are absolutely top-notch, with a cracking range of their own brews like the Tombstone plum porter and Amarillo – perfect for ale enthusiasts.
-
Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, always ready with recommendations to help you pick your pint.
-
It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere that's great for a relaxed chat, whether you're a local or just popping in for a visit.
-
Prices are spot on and reasonable, especially for quality pints under £4, making it a wallet-friendly spot for a good night out.
Cons
-
It's a bit on the small side, so it can feel cosy and get crowded quickly, which might not suit if you're with a larger group.
-
There's not much in the way of food options – most folks just go for the drinks, so you might need to grab a meal elsewhere first.
-
As it's more of a locals' favourite, it could come across as a tad niche or intimidating if you're not into craft beers or the scene.

A gem of a place. Visiting Great Yarmouth and love my ales. Found this on Google maps and glad I did. Cannot comment on food but the beer Tombstone plum porter was smashing so much so I bought a carry home so I could enjoy when I went home. It's a locals bar however it was nice and friendly atmosphere. If you like ales then please visit it's small and compact but great. Situated near the River Yate close to Haven bridge
Small but perfectly formed, a large range of their own (very good) beers. Cheerful staff person! Ciders too. Their Amarillo is rather special, and the Arizona delicious.
Great bar! Paul, Lisa, Cathy and the team are so welcoming! Not many places in gr Yarmouth that I would feel safe to take my mother, however the tombstone nails it! Great range of beers and exemplary service!!!
On a trip from England to see our son and daughter in law, we did not eat here but spent a pleasant time drinking beer and chatting to the barman and locals. The beer was very nice and refreshing on a hot day. The barman had good knowledge of the products and could tell us what to try according to our individual taste.
What a gem! I can't tell you how great this place is. Superb range of real ales. The Tombstone Cherokee is delicious and all the beers are reasonably priced (please note that sub £4 pints is a winnner). You do not need to go to 'Spoons' for a decent beer at a really good price.
This place is worth a visit. Enjoy!
