About This Pub

Ah, The William Morris, what a gem for a casual catch-up over a drink or a bite. It's one of those reliable Wetherspoons pubs that really delivers on value, with prices that won't leave you rummaging for change, and a solid lineup of beers and meals that cater to all tastes. I love how it's tucked away near Hammersmith station, making it a no-fuss spot to duck into after exploring the area – plus, the outdoor seating is just the ticket for a sunny afternoon pint. The decor's got that nice historical flair, honouring William Morris and giving the place a bit of personality that sets it apart. On the flip side, though, it's not all smooth sailing; a few folks have mentioned service hiccups, like tables not being cleared promptly or complaints going unanswered for a bit, which can take the edge off an otherwise enjoyable visit. Still, overall, it's a solid choice for a laid-back evening – just go in with realistic expectations and you'll likely have a great time.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • It's incredibly affordable, just like other Wetherspoons spots – perfect for a budget-friendly pint and meal without skimping on options.
  • The location is spot on, right near Hammersmith station, making it dead easy to nip in after a tube ride or a wander around.
  • They've got a cracking selection of drinks and grub, with that classic Wetherspoons charm that keeps things lively and varied.
  • The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a lovely historical nod to William Morris that adds a bit of character to your visit.
  • There's plenty of outdoor seating, which is brilliant for soaking up the sun or enjoying a chat on a milder evening.
Cons
  • Service can be a tad inconsistent, with some tables left uncleared and staff not always jumping to sort things out straight away.
  • It might take a while for any issues to be addressed, which can put a slight dampener on what should be a relaxed outing.

Unfortunately it was quite horrible experience I had here. I had to see the glasses uncleaned from the empty table, and no one even reacted after our drinks and foods were served. I already complained to someone to clean it but there was no response. It took awhile until someone in the end cleaned it. Will never ever visit this place again.

The William Morris Wetherspoon Pub is a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal at a reasonable price as other all Wetherspoons. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the decor reflects the historic charm associated with William Morris. I also appreciate the wide selection of drinks and the fast service. It's an ideal spot for both casual outings and meeting up with friends.

Nice wetherspoons, right across the road from hammersmith station. Priced like a normal spoons (no city prices here boyo). Importantly, they put the egg I ordered in my burger, unlike some wetherspoons. Bigger pub than first though from the outside (like a tardis).

Decent Wetherspoon's pub a couple of minutes walk from Hammersmith Underground Station. Ten cask beers on handpump when I visited including a stout. Lots of outdoor seating. The pub commemorates William Morris, the Arts & Crafts designer who lived nearby.

Another nice Wetherspoon's pub, this time in the centre of Hammersmith, with a large open area in front. When I visited, this open area had a large TV screen set up with a number of food stalls there. Very exciting! A wide range of meals and the usual excellent choice of guest bitters made this a lovely experience. Service was not the best, but it was very busy.
