About This Pub

Ah, The White Swan – it's one of those classic pubs that can really grow on you if you're in the area. I reckon it's got that warm, community spirit going for it, with the staff being absolute stars who make everyone feel welcome, and the entertainment, especially when DJ Red's on the decks, adds a real spark of fun and energy. The prices are just right too, so you can settle in for a chat without worrying about the bill. On the downside, though, it's a bit disappointing on the food front – you're stuck with basic snacks, so if you're after a hearty meal, you'll have to look elsewhere. I've heard a few stories about the landlady having a off day, which isn't ideal, and there was that mention of a dodgy smell that could turn you off. All in all, it's worth popping in for the good times and the locals' banter, but go in with your eyes open – it's got its charms, but it's not without a few flaws that might make you think twice for a return visit.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are incredibly welcoming and make you feel right at home, just like a proper local spot.
  • The entertainment's spot on, especially with DJ Red bringing that extra buzz and joy to the evenings.
  • Prices are fair and moderate, so you can enjoy a good night out without it costing a fortune.
  • It's a great place for chatting with friendly locals and regulars, building that community feel.
Cons
  • Food options are pretty limited, just snacks like crisps and nuts, so you might need to grab a proper meal elsewhere.
  • There have been some off moments, like reports of the landlady being a bit abrasive, which can put a damper on things.
  • Occasionally, there's an unpleasant smell, such as dog urine, that might spoil the atmosphere.
  • It feels like the pub has lost some of its sparkle over time, with a few folks saying it's not what it used to be.

This pub used to be lovely.upon the past 3 recent visits .on one occasion, the land lady was abusive to her customers after we paid for our drinks then told us to leave .the second visit as soon as we went in you were met by the smell of dog urine followed by a dog in the pub pulling its backside across the floor and a young child held in an adults arms whilst being served and the beer after 3 mouth fulls was left due to not been able to stand the stench I'm the pub.and the most recent night in the wow how many kids in there at 11pm at night place wants closing down !!!
