About This Pub
Ah, The Dog & Gun – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Wibsey, Bradford. I've got to say, from what I've seen, it's got that perfect mix of relaxed vibes and excitement with its excellent beer selection; you're spoiled for choice with cask ales and draughts that are kept just right, making it a haven for anyone who appreciates a quality pint. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in, and the regular events like quizzes on Wednesdays or live music add a real buzz – it's great for catching up with mates or trying something new. Plus, the outdoor garden is a lovely spot for sunnier days, with its seating and stage giving it an extra charm. On the flip side, though, things can get a bit pricey, so if you're watching the pennies, it might not be the cheapest round in town, and the opening times do vary, which could be a minor hassle if you're an early bird. Overall, it's a solid choice for pub goers looking for a balanced spot with heart, where the good times generally outweigh any small niggles – I'd definitely pop in if you're in the area.

-
Opening hours vary a bit during the week, starting later on some days, so it might not be ideal if you're after an early drink.

Fantastic venue, always clean and a great selection of beers. Staff are great and there's a good beer garden for the summer.
Vetran friendly, the Wibsey Veterans meet here on the first Sunday of every month at 10.00hrs
I spent the first 20 years of my life growing up at the family home across the road but never really spent much time at this pub. I recently started calling in for one reason or another and found it a welcoming pub with friendly staff and a consistently good draught lager (Cruzcampo), served in a proper glass.
