About This Pub
Ah, The White Horse – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper hidden gem in Harrow, you know? I've heard from folks who've been there that the food is where it really shines; they're all about fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and specials like pie nights or a full Sunday roast make it a go-to for a hearty meal. The staff are dead lovely, always on hand with a smile and efficient service that makes you feel looked after without any fuss. It's got that classic British pub charm with a cosy real fire, comfy spots to sink into, and a garden that's just the ticket on a sunny day. Throw in free WiFi and parking, and it's spot on for groups or even business dos. On the flip side, it's tucked away on a smaller street, so it might not be the easiest to find if you're new to the area, and it's more geared towards dining than just having a quiet drink, which could be a minor downside if that's what you're after. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone wanting a balanced mix of good food, drinks, and a friendly atmosphere – I'd say give it a try and see for yourself; you won't be disappointed!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food here is absolutely spot on – think homemade dishes made with fresh, seasonal ingredients, and don't miss their pie nights or Sunday roasts; they're proper tasty!
-
The staff are so welcoming and helpful, always making you feel right at home with their friendly service and quick attention.
-
It's got a lovely traditional pub atmosphere with a real fire, comfy sofas, and a nice garden out back for when the weather's good.
-
Plenty of drink options, from classic cask ales to craft beers, and they've got outside seating and even free parking, which is a bonus in Harrow.
-
Ideal for all sorts of occasions, whether it's a casual meal, a function like a birthday bash, or just catching up with mates in a relaxed setting.
Cons
-
It can feel a bit hidden away on a quiet street, so you might miss it if you're not familiar with the area – worth checking the map first.
-
The focus is heavily on food and dining, so if you're just popping in for a quick pint without eating, it might not be the most laid-back spot.
-
Opening hours vary a tad, especially on Sundays, which could catch you out if you're planning a late visit – best to double-check beforehand.

Great pub in Harrow, tucked away on a small street. Staff were great. Food was lovely. Nice little garden in the back.
A traditional British pub with many classics on the menu 🇬🇧 My husband and I came here for a Sunday roast dinner 🍽️
My husband loved the beef dinner and I enjoyed the turkey 🦃 and desserts were very traditional but served beautifully🍨
The service was very fast and helpful. I am very happy to have discovered a decent pub in Harrow that serves "pub-grub" and next time my family visit me we will be taking a trip to The White Horse!
We had been tipped off about pie night and we were not disappointed. The lamb, pea and mint pie was delicious as photographed. What I really liked on the plate was the number of vegetables, I think 4 excluding the chips. Other members of my party had the chicken and mushroom pie, which was very tasty.
A hidden gem, friendly welcoming staff, polite and great service. The young person who served us, Anna was amazing, ensuring we had everything. The food was lovely, tasty, hot and good portion sizes. To top it off the music was not loud and the play list was the 80’s, brilliant!!!
A great, unassuming pub situated on Middle Road between Harrow and its southern neighbour. Part of the Fuller's group offering a good range of keg beers and three hand pulls for the real ale drinkers. A food focus with all the tables set out for dining. Good friendly service. A pleasant place for a pint.
