About This Pub

Ah, The White Hart – it's one of those dependable Wetherspoon haunts that really delivers on the basics without any fuss. From the reviews I've seen, the staff go out of their way to be helpful and get your food out quickly, which is a real treat when you're in the mood for something straightforward. The atmosphere feels clean and inviting, with plenty of seating options inside and out, and it's brilliantly placed near the local theatre and cinema, making it a top choice for a quick bite or a relaxed pint. The WiFi's reliable too, so you can catch up with friends online while you sip your cider. On the downside, a few folks have noted that portions aren't always generous – think skimpy chips or a burger that doesn't quite satisfy – so if you're after a hearty meal, you might want to plan ahead or stick to the classics. All in all, it's a solid spot for a laid-back evening, with more positives than negatives, and I'd say it's worth popping in for the experience.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The staff are always friendly and efficient, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in
  • It's a budget-friendly spot with inexpensive prices, perfect for a casual night out without spending a fortune
  • The location is spot on, right opposite the theatre and next to the cinema, ideal for grabbing a drink or meal before or after a show
  • You'll find clean tables and toilets, plus outside seating for when the weather's nice
  • Strong WiFi and quick service mean you can relax with a drink and stay connected if needed
Cons
  • Some food portions can be a bit on the small side, like the chips or burgers, which might leave you wanting more
  • While most meals are spot on, there have been a few grumbles about certain dishes not quite hitting the mark, such as a disappointing burger

Another great Witherspoon pub. Lots of clean tables, outside seating too. My food was served quickly and in a very friendly manner. Everything good. A great location and usual menu. Strong WiFi here too. Google recommended.

Our waitress, female with plats, was very good. The food was hot and quick. Toilets were clean. A good example of a Wetherspoon’s pub. Plus, it’s opposite the theatre and next to the cinema, so ideal for a drink & a meal just before or just after.

Unfortunately, we didn't order anything from the menu. We just sat for a while with a couple of glasses of cider. And we really liked it, because it was just right for the mood and time! Very pleasant service at the bar! We'll definitely come again!

It was excellent food, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of my food. However, I would appreciate a larger portion of chips and so would my colleagues. Thank you for your dedication to pub life all over the world, love you x #publife #workfriends #itsfiveo’clocksomewhere

It's a witherspoon, cheap and cheerful. Staff all friendly. The American burger was terrible, small and not a good potion of chips with it.
