About This Pub

Ah, the White Hart Inn – it's got that classic pub charm that makes you want to settle in for a chat and a drink. From what I've gathered, the staff really shine here; they're warm, chatty, and make the place feel like a home away from home, with folks raving about the great service and tasty drinks straight from the tap. It's spot on for rugby fans too, being so close to Twickenham, and the breakfast is a nice touch if you're staying over. But, and it's a big but, things can get a bit sticky when events roll around – prices jump up dramatically, leaving a sour taste and making you wonder if it's worth it compared to the more reasonably priced options just a short walk away. Some have mentioned the lack of real ale and the odd noisy night in the rooms, which isn't ideal for a good kip. Overall, it's a solid spot for a relaxed visit on a quiet day, but I'd say keep an eye on your wallet and maybe plan around the big games to get the best out of it. It's all about balance, isn't it?

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is wonderfully warm and cosy, making you feel right at home as soon as you step in.
  • The staff are absolute gems – friendly and attentive, with some like Samuel and Tatiana going the extra mile to make your visit memorable.
  • Drinks are served straight from the draft and taste spot on, especially if you're popping in for a casual pint.
  • It's ideally located near Twickenham for rugby matches, which is perfect if you're heading to a game.
  • They offer a solid breakfast and the rooms are clean, even if they're a bit basic.
Cons
  • Prices can skyrocket during events like rugby games, turning a quick drink into a pricey affair – it's a real turn-off compared to nearby spots.
  • They don't serve real ale, which might disappoint those after a more traditional brew.
  • The rooms can be noisy at night with creaky floors and sounds from next door, so it's not the best for a peaceful stay.
  • It feels a bit quiet these days, possibly due to the higher costs, and some have called it out for not always offering the best beer options.
  • That profiteering vibe during big events makes it less welcoming for everyone, with complaints about unfair pricing for non-locals.

Used the pub for rugby, Big Summer kickoff. Serious price gauging, super expensive avoid at all costs and go to the Cambridge 5 mins on the way to Twickers. 18.50 GBP For two drinks , we drink here on non rugby days and the same two drinks are around 12.00 GBP. RIP off merchants won't ever see my custom again.

Amazing hospitality displayed, such a warm and cozy environment that makes you feel right at home, the drinks were great straight from the draft, amazing service by all the staff. I even managed to get to know some by name, Samuel and Tatiana, had a lovely time they make the place feel like home. Will be coming back once we visit Twickenham again definitely need more of Tatiana food. Thanks!

Unimpressed by their profiteering prior to the England v Scotland game, where they weren't pouring the best beer but saw fot to charge £3 a pint more than neighbouring pubs. Distinctly quiet compared to two years ago and the above probably explains it. Left after one drink and won't be going back

Our go to pub over the last 8 years when going to a game at Twickenham. Was a great pub destroyed by the greed of the new owners. Locals were getting charged £5.40 a beer everyone else £7.50 a beer. I would fully recommend that you avoid the White Hart and take the 5 minute walk around the corner the Prince Albert where everyone is treated the same.

A great traditional pub. Doesn’t serve real ale though. Rooms are basic but clean. Was a little noisy at night from adjoining rooms and creaky floors. Ideally located for rugby matches at Twickenham and the Stoop. Breakfast is well worth having and the Ukrainian lady that serves and cleans is a gem.
