About This Pub

Oh, what a lovely little find The Wheelwright Arms is – I've got to say, from what folks are saying, it's got that perfect pub charm that just draws you in. The atmosphere is spot on, especially buzzing on Luton match days with plenty of laughter and good times, and it's clear the staff and regulars go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, like you're part of the gang straight away. Throw in a great pool table for some friendly competition and clean, comfortable rooms if you're stopping over, and you've got a solid spot for both a quick drink and a longer stay. On the flip side, it's a bit frustrating that it might be closed right now or that there aren't clear opening hours listed, and their website's playing up, which could leave you scratching your head when trying to plan a visit. All in all, if you're after a genuine, hearty pub experience in Luton, this one's worth keeping an eye on – just double-check it's open first!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely brilliant – it's full of laughter and good vibes, especially on match days, making it a proper cosy spot for a pint and a chat.
  • The staff and regulars are incredibly welcoming, like chatting with old mates; you'll feel right at home from the moment you walk in.
  • There's a cracking pool table, which adds a fun element for a game or two with the locals.
  • If you're staying over, the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, with immaculate bathrooms – perfect for a B&B experience.
  • The food gets high praise, and it's conveniently located just minutes from the bus station, making it easy to pop in after travels.
Cons
  • It seems like the pub might be closed at the moment, which is a real shame as it could affect your plans if you're keen to visit soon.
  • No specific opening hours are listed, so you'd have to check ahead to avoid disappointment.
  • Their online presence is a bit patchy with website issues, which might make it tricky to get the latest info before heading over.

Amazing atmosphere, especially on a Luton match day pub is full of laughter and good vibes. B&B rooms are the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in and bathrooms are immaculate in the pub and upstairs in b&b
