About This Pub

Ah, Bricklayers Arms, what a delightful spot it is in Luton – I've got to say, it's one of those pubs that just feels like a warm hug when you walk in. From what folks are saying, it's all about that chilled-out atmosphere, where you can kick back with some seriously well-kept craft ales and cask beers; I mean, who could resist a good pint in such a local, community-driven place? The staff really shine here, always making sure everyone feels welcome, and they've got these lovely touches like a piano in the corner or hosting karaoke and beer festivals in the back garden – it's those little events that turn a simple visit into a memorable night. Prices are spot on for a casual outing, and with plenty of outdoor seating, it's ideal for a sunny afternoon. On the flip side, though, there have been a few grumbles about restrictions during big events, like not serving away fans, which is a shame as it might put some off, but hey, it's probably just following the rules to keep things smooth. Overall, if you're in the area and after a genuine, friendly pub experience, I'd give it a go – it's got that heartwarming charm that makes you want to come back for more.

Two visits in recent weeks. First chanced upon a karaoke night and had a great time for a few hours. Second a planned day out from Dartford for their spring beer festival. Nice beer festival held in their back garden, nice choice of beers. Lovely friendly staff, not too expensive. Very community focused. LGBTQ+ friendly. In my opinion best real ale pub in Luton. Location - High Town, 2 mins or less walk from the train station. Also worth a visit (for historic interior only - no real ale) The Painters Arms just up the road.

Nice looking pub but sadly, despite not wearing colours they wouldn't serve two away fans with a combined aged of over 130! Staff nice about it good is police rules but, we went to the pub 50 yards up the road full of home fans. Madness!!

Great cask ales on offer and Jenny (Bond) is a great bartender that will go above and beyond to make all of her customers feel welcome. Whether they are passing through or they are regulars. If you are ever in the area and want to feel like you are amongst the locals while enjoying a good pint stop here, you won't regret it.

Very good Luton pub. Six cask beers on handpump when I visited including a porter. Loads of outdoor seating some of it covered. Busy but not impossibly so after the Spurs game at Kenilworth Road.
