About This Pub
Ah, The Wheatsheaf – it's one of those pubs that really hits the spot for a laid-back evening. From what I've gathered from the reviews, it's got this lovely historic interior that gives it a real character, making it ideal for kicking back with friends over a pint. The staff are spot on, always friendly and making sure you're looked after, and there's a decent range of drinks to choose from, which is just what you want on a night out. Plus, with live music and events like bands and DJs, it's got that extra spark that keeps things lively without being overwhelming. The locals add to the charm too, creating a welcoming community vibe that's hard to beat. But, and I have to be straight with you, it's not all perfect – one review mentioned karaoke nights turning a bit awkward because the landlord likes to get involved in a way that might rub some people the wrong way. Still, with an overall rating of 4.5, it's clear most folks have a brilliant time, so I'd say it's worth a visit, especially if you're in Romford and fancy a proper pub experience. Just keep an eye on the event schedule to avoid any potential pitfalls!

-
The locals are lovely and chatty, making it a great spot to relax and unwind after a long day.
Cons
-
Karaoke nights can be a bit of a mixed bag; apparently, the landlord sometimes jumps in with his own jokes, which might come across as a tad demeaning and spoil the fun.
-
Based on the reviews, it seems like not every visit is flawless, with one person having a rough experience that left them less than impressed.

It’s was so lovely!
Very welcoming & can’t wait to come back for the live music!
Don't go on karaoke night! Very annoying landlord likes to have a drink, take a spare mic and sit barside, ad-libing jokes whilst people sing. Demeaning experience. Otherwise, nice pub.
Wonderful pub with historic interior. Friendly staff just a great place to relax. Friendly locals. A must visit when Romford
Home of the f.a.b. scooter club, lovely pub for live bands and Djs on a sat nite.
