About This Pub
You know, when you step into The Vine Inn, it's like walking into a proper local gem that's managed to keep its traditional heart while adding a few modern perks – think multiscreen TVs for the big matches and a pool table for some fun. I love how the staff and the crowd make you feel right at home, whether you're there for a fresh pint of real ale or to tuck into their all-day food menu, which has some solid choices like burgers and specials that hit the spot without costing a fortune. It's brilliant for watching sports or just having a relaxed chat, and being dog-friendly means you can bring your furry mate along. On the downside, though, sorting payments can be a bit fiddly if you're relying on cards, and if you're in the mood for something a bit more upscale or contemporary, this place might come across as a touch straightforward. Overall, it's a cracking spot for a laid-back evening with friends, and from what I've seen in the reviews, most people reckon it's well worth a visit for that genuine pub experience.

Great traditional English pub!!
I'm reluctant to post this review fearing that I'll be helping driving people to this spot. It is perfect. Cheap, friendly locals, authentic, fresh pints. This is the local English pub experience without any BS. Lovely spot. Old place, lovely staff and locals, wish I ate there. Did I mention that it's cheap? It's not expensive at all.
Amazing place! lovely pub, friendly, clean and welcoming. Excellent prices and the food is delicious, If spoilt for choice and unsure of what to choose I seriously recommend going for the days special. Today I had the Venison hotpot and later the chicken curry and chips, both were superb and don’t just take my word for it, just look at the photos!
Nice little pub. Really friendly locals and a chilled atmosphere. It's a typical old school pub, but not really my kind of place. They don't really take card, so you're better off with cash... they have a card machine but the minimum payment is £20, then you get your change back in cash from that £20, it's a bit old fashioned, kind of like the pub to be honest.
They don't have anything interesting on tap either, just the usual mass produced lagers, think Coors and Guinness. We went in as it is dog friendly and they have a "beer garden" but I was disappointed to find something resembling a smoking shelter rather than a beer garden; imagine a 10x10 foot concrete box with a bench in the middle!
We did talk to some nice locals but it's not my kind of place. It reminded me of the Nags Head from Only Fools and Horses, which is great if that's your thing.
Nice local pub in residential area. Pub food served. Worth a visit to see how traditional bham pub looks like. Burger with chips under £5 is nothing to complain about, not the best burger I ever had but well worth the price tag. Great place overall, tasty homely food.
