About This Pub

Ah, The Village Inn – it's one of those neighbourhood gems in Ealing that just feels like a second home, you know? From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the place really shines with its hearty Sunday roasts and traditional British fare, which are full of flavour and make for a lovely catch-up with mates over a pint. The team there are so attentive and friendly, always adding to that warm, community spirit that's perfect for everything from casual drinks to watching the big games like the Women's Euros. It's affordable too, which is a win for us all. But, let's be straight, it's not all perfect – some folks have had a rough time with inconsistent food, like meals that turn out underwhelming or portions that don't quite stack up against the price tag. Still, with an overall solid rating, I'd say it's worth a go if you're in the area, just maybe keep expectations in check and go for their stronger dishes. All in all, it's a solid spot for a relaxed evening, as long as you're up for that mix of highs and the occasional miss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food is generally spot on, especially their Sunday roasts which are packed with tender meats, seasonal veggies, and those irresistible crispy roasties – perfect for a proper British meal with friends.
  • The staff are absolute gems; they're warm, friendly, and really make you feel at home, whether you're popping in for a quick pint or celebrating something special.
  • It's got that cosy, community vibe in the heart of Ealing, with a stylish yet familiar atmosphere that's great for watching events like the Women's Euros or just relaxing with a drink.
  • Being inexpensive, it's a brilliant spot for everyday outings without breaking the bank, and they've got a solid selection of seasonal British dishes that always hit the spot.
Cons
  • Food quality can be a bit inconsistent – some reviews mentioned disappointing dishes like soggy chips or dry chicken, which really lets down the experience.
  • Portion sizes might not always match the price, like with the beef roast where folks felt they got skimpy servings for what they're paying.
  • A few complaints about certain meals not living up to expectations, such as fajitas that seemed underwhelming and prepped in a rush, which could put a dampener on your visit.

Lovely food, and really nice space. Took dad today for Father’s Day and we really enjoyed it. Service was great from Joel & Jade, we will definitely be back :)

Dreadful quality of food. Cool, wet steamy chips and the fajitas had one tiny piece of chicken and looked liked they'd been prepped in a school food tech lesson. Very poor!

We are from Australia and staying in Ealing, thought we would try out the Village inn. What a pleasant surprise! The staff were very warm, friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and traditional British pub food that was top notch, keep up the good work. We will be back!

Service was good, and you order everything at the bar, Sunday roast was okay, and loaded with vegetables but unfortunately with the beef you barely get any meat, just three thin slices that just isn't close to being enough - especially for the £21 they charge. Chicken unfortunately was very dry, so also nothing to write home about. Nice pub to go back to, but not for the Sunday roast.

Lovely pub, nice atmosphere, amazing food and friendly staff. We also celebrated our small wedding meal here and everything was perfect. Really tasty dishes, specially the chicken schnitzel. I can’t recommend enough this pub!
