About This Pub
Ah, The Urban Fox Pub – it's one of those places that just hits the spot when you're in the mood for something a bit different from the usual pub fare. From what I've gathered, the Indian dishes here are genuinely mouthwatering; folks rave about the mixed grills and curries that are full of authentic flavours and prepared with real passion, making it feel like a proper treat without breaking the bank. The staff are an absolute delight too, always up for a chat and ready to make your visit memorable, whether it's helping with a special occasion or just serving up your drinks with a smile. It's got that warm, welcoming atmosphere that's perfect for watching the footie on the big screens or catching up over a cocktail, and the deals on food and drinks add a nice touch of value. On the flip side, though, the opening times can be a bit of a faff if you're hoping for an afternoon session, as things don't kick off until later in the day during the week. Plus, if Indian isn't your go-to, the menu might not have as much variety as you'd like for a classic pub experience. All in all, it's a solid choice for a fun evening in Leamington Spa – I'd say give it a go if you're up for something tasty and lively, but keep those timings in mind!
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The food is absolutely spot on – think authentic Indian dishes like lamb curry and garlic prawn curry that are packed with flavour and cooked with real care, making it a treat for anyone craving a proper curry night.
-
Service is top-notch and really welcoming; the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, whether it's sorting out a birthday surprise or just being friendly during your visit.
-
Great value for money with deals like 2 for £12.95 on sizzling mixed grills and affordable drinks, including Cobra on tap, which makes it an easy choice for a casual get-together.
-
The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with live sports on big HD screens, perfect for catching a match with mates while enjoying a cocktail or mocktail.
Cons
-
Opening hours can be a bit restrictive during the week, with the bar not starting until 4pm on some days, so it might not suit those looking for an early pint.
-
It's very much geared towards Indian cuisine, which is brilliant if that's your thing, but if you're after a more traditional pub grub selection, you might find the menu a tad limited.
