About This Pub
Ah, The Unicorn Bathams – it's one of those pubs that just pulls you in with its rich history and that unmistakable Black Country spirit. From what I've gathered from folks who've been, the beers are where it truly shines; the Bathams Bitter is an icon, with its smooth, proper flavour that's become a bit of a legend around these parts. Pair that with the spacious beer garden, which is ideal for a lazy afternoon, and you've got yourself a right inviting spot for chatting over a pint. The staff are generally chuffed to help, and the traditional snacks like cobs and crisps are spot on for a quick bite. On the downside, it does fill up quickly, and I've heard tales of it getting a bit chaotic, especially with things like bingo taking over, which might leave you feeling a tad pushed out if you're after a quiet one. All in all, it's a cracking place to pop into if you're nearby, but I'd say go midweek for the best of it – keeps things balanced and enjoyable for everyone.

A lovely little pub with a great selection of beers. Although they have lots to pick from, I would definitely recommend sticking with the bathams bitter. A proper old school pint that is only available in the black country in a handful of pubs. If you are in the area pop in to try an icon of midlands brewing. Also a lovely beer garden, dog friendly and also regular BBQs in the summer. Friendly and attentive staff
Nice little pub with a spacious beer garden. Good quality ale and a selection of cobs.
Love this pub, it's got real character, beer is excellent, food (cobs) are great, scratching and crisps great quality too. Beer garden is great in the Summer.
Went in on the 23rd of December, I was with 5 friends, the pub was extremely busy and we gave our seats up twice for the older people. Then after 3 hours we were told rudely to leave the bar area as they were playing bingo, despite half the people not wanting to play! I was sworn at and told to move to another part of the pub which was equally busy! Despite going in their for the last 2 years twice a week and spending money to be treated like this is completely wrong as several of the punters later came up to me in agreement! I understand on a usual Monday night that bingo is probably important to attract people but 2 days before Christmas it's ridiculous in a packed small pub! I won't be going in again until the current management are removed! A very clicky pub and not as friendly as first appears!
Great beer and a proper pub experience. Staff are friendly and there’s traditional snacks such as pork pies, crisps, cobs etc. Very near other pubs too if you wanted to do a few in Wollaston over a day. Nice big beer garden too
