About This Pub

Ah, The Two Greens – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Tettenhall, Wolverhampton. I've got to say, the views from up on that hill are something else; it's a brilliant spot to pop in for a bite and a chat after a long day. The menu's a real highlight, with those chargrilled specials and a good mix of options that cater to all sorts, whether you're after a hearty steak, a fresh burger, or something lighter and plant-based. And the staff? They're usually chuffed to help, with that warm smile that makes you feel right at home. Plus, the beer garden is ideal for sunnier days, and it's great that they welcome families and dogs, so it's versatile for different get-togethers. On the flip side, though, I've heard a few grumbles about the food not always living up to expectations – like steaks that end up chewy or portions that leave you wanting more, especially for the moderate prices. Service can be a bit slow at times too, which might put a dampener on things if you're in a rush. All in all, it's a solid choice for a casual outing, but I'd suggest going in with an open mind and maybe checking out the latest menu first to make sure it suits what you're after. It's got that classic pub charm, but like any place, it's not perfect – still, the good bits definitely outweigh the off days!

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The atmosphere is absolutely charming, with stunning views over Wolverhampton from its hilltop spot, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed catch-up with mates.
  • They've got a cracking menu with chargrilled specials, juicy burgers, and plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans, and those avoiding gluten – it's great to see something for everyone.
  • The staff are generally spot on, being friendly and attentive, which really adds to that cosy pub feel and makes you want to come back.
  • There's a lovely beer garden for enjoying a pint in the fresh air, and it's family-friendly and dog-friendly too, so you can bring the whole gang.
Cons
  • Food quality can be a bit inconsistent; some dishes like steaks might come out tough or fatty, and portions can feel a tad small for the price.
  • Service sometimes drags on, leaving you waiting longer than you'd like, even when it's not too busy.
  • Recent menu changes haven't sat well with everyone, so if you're a regular, it might not hit the same notes as before.

Absolutely shocking! Food was absolutely disgusting asked for medium rare and came out tough as boots and full of fat! Portions are like children's portions. And the service was slow sat waiting around for way too long... My family and I used this place on a regular basis but now the menu has changed the standards have changed sorry but you have lost loyal customers

Had lovely meal starters chicken tenders. Cooked to perfection absolutely delicious. Followed by massive steak and ale pie potato mushy peas.well presented on plate tasty food good staff that were happy to help with a smile. Then triple chocolate brownie with warm sauce and villina ice cream. All this combined made for a lovely family meal in a easy to get to local pub. With good food and lovely staff. Many thanks will see you again.

First 2 images are from our original attendance 10 months ago. Latter picture is from a recent visit. Quiet and plenty of tables available and we have arrived around 19:00. Service is slow considering, but the staff seemed preoccupied with setting tables. Pleasant staff don’t get me wrong. Dining area tidy, bright and modern, all be it a bit cold towards the back of the seating area, a bit draughty.

Beautiful pub on a hill with great views over Wolverhampton. The service was great, we were greeted upon arrival, seated and then had a seamless dining experience. The woman that served us last Saturday was extremely friendly and attentive. We went out as a group of friends for lunch and had a nice, relaxing afternoon. Food was decent, your typical pub grub options and some healthier options too.
