The Top House in Blyth

You know, I had a wander into The Top House the other week, and it's such a lovely spot for a relaxed catch-up with mates. The staff are absolute stars, always up for a chat and making sure everything runs smoothly, while the locals add to that homely feel – one chap even treated some visitors to pizza and chips, which is just brilliant. The beers are spot on, and if you're lucky, you might catch a fabulous band playing, like that rock group 'Life is Load' that had everyone buzzing. It's got all these original features that give it real character, making it feel like a proper traditional pub. That said, it's a tad compact, so it can get a bit cosy on busier nights, and there are those odd moments with the regulars and their pets that might not suit everyone. All in all, it's a cracking choice if you're after a friendly atmosphere and a decent drink, but pop in early to snag a good spot.
