About This Pub
Ah, Blyth Comrades Club – it's one of those local gems that really grows on you once you step inside. From what I've gathered from the buzz around, the place has this lovely, homely feel where the staff go out of their way to make you comfortable, like you're part of the gang. It's especially ace for celebrations; imagine hosting a 60th birthday or a kids' party with all the excitement and cheer – plenty of people have shared how much they enjoyed those moments. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food, well, those stottie sandwiches are a proper treat that keeps you coming back. They've smartened up the decor too, turning what was once a bit dated into a fresh, welcoming space that's ideal for kicking back with friends. On the downside, though, it seems like entertainment choices, such as the DJ, can sometimes let the side down, leaving a sour note on an otherwise great evening. All in all, it's a solid pick for anyone in Blyth looking for a good time, but maybe keep an eye on what's lined up to avoid any surprises – after all, it's about enjoying the night without a hitch!

-
The decor's been given a fresh makeover, making the place clean, modern, and far more inviting than it used to be.
-
Top-notch for watching the big matches with those gigantic screens – it's like having a front-row seat without leaving the pub!
Cons
-
There can be hitches with hired entertainment, like the DJ, which might leave you a bit disappointed if it's not up to scratch.
-
Some experiences fall short of expectations, as one visit was marred by issues that nearly ruined the night, even if the event itself was okay.

Excellent and kids love all the party events great all round club.
I would like to start this off by saying the only reason this has any stars at all is because my friends 30th birthday I attended last night was overall lovely and she had a great time.
The reason this review should really have no stars at all is because when the owner hires a DJ he’s known a long time and respected a long time, you don’t expect the dj to come over to your table, ask you friend of the child he was with was his and after him telling him no (because he is my child) then goes onto ask “is the child on the spectrum?” And proceeds to talk about how my child probably has autism (not that I have anything against autism and autistic people). But this is not something you say to someone you do not even know.
So when I confront the owner about this rude inconsiderate man, the response I got was “he wouldn’t have meant anything by it. He’s harmless. And he works at a special needs school”.
I’m sorry, but this does not make the things he said acceptable to say in any place let alone a 30th birthday.
Safe to say if you are to hire this place? Hire your own Dj and if you have any problems whilst in the building, keep them to yourself because clearly the owner does not have a care in the world.
Also the toilets are beyond rotting and the doors don’t lock.
Thanks.
Very very friendly Club, with a fantastic Man at the Helm, Brian will do anything he can to help people out in sticky situations, great place.
Ultimate match Day experience.
Gigantic screens.
Great value drinks
Delicious stottie sandwiches
Attended a 60th birthday celebration & was amazed at the improvement in decor in the Main room of the club..The last time I was there it was very dated & honestly, really scruffy... Now the room is very clean ,modern & welcoming...The young lasses behind the bar were really helpful, pleasant .& so efficient there was never really a queue. Also couldn't believe how reasonable my soft drinks were...
