About This Pub
Ah, The Tollemache Inn – it's one of those reliable Wetherspoon haunts that you can always count on for a budget-friendly night out in Grantham. From what I've gathered from the buzz around it, the food really shines; folks rave about the large breakfasts and Southern-fried chicken, which sound like proper comfort grub to tuck into after a day of exploring. The place is spot on for value, with inexpensive prices that make it easy to enjoy a few drinks without worrying about the tab. Plus, there's ample seating and a nice little garden area for when the weather's playing ball, adding a touch of outdoorsy charm. On the flip side, it does get packed, and that can mean queuing at the bar or the occasional slip-up with orders, which might leave you a bit frustrated if you're in a rush. And let's not forget, having to sort out your own condiments or dealing with stairs to the toilets isn't everyone's cup of tea. Overall, it's a friendly spot with a 3.9 rating that shows it's generally well-liked, but I'd say it's best for those laid-back evenings where you don't mind the hustle and bustle – just go in with realistic expectations for a good, honest pub experience.

It can get really busy, especially at the bar, leading to waits and the occasional mix-up with orders.
-
You'll have to hunt around for condiments yourself, which isn't ideal if you're after a seamless experience.
-
The toilets are upstairs, which might not suit everyone, particularly if stairs are a hassle.
-
Some visits feel a bit hit-or-miss, with the odd grumble about the overall setup not always living up to expectations.

Just been served the most perfectly prepared large breakfast .. thanks to kitchen staff for a lovely effort in doing that.
A very traditional weatherspoons pub that is quite busy whenever you enter. There is a small garden area towards the back of the pub which is great on sunny days so you don't always have to use the outdoor seating on the main road
Couple of drinks and to rest our feet after sightseeing most of the day.
Plenty of seating...service quick
Best pub in the town. Good food and great service. Must try Southern-fried chicken with chips.
Don't have really a good thing to say. It's a totally British place. Went there at lunchtime
You stand waiting at the busy bar to order and then they make mistakes at the till ,then you have to look for the condiments to take to your table which is not prepared. Toilets are upstairs so no good for wheelchair people. Would not recommend for kids too many people drinking
Otherwise very nice location, lovely layout inside and outside and prices are normal. Food was average. I was not impressed.
