About This Pub
Ah, The Beehive Inn – it's one of those pubs that really grows on you, isn't it? From what I've gathered, it's got this fantastic relaxed atmosphere where you can just kick back with a pint, maybe challenge mates to a game on the pool table, or soak up the sun in that brilliant beer garden. The team behind the bar seem like absolute gems, always up for a chat and making everyone feel right at home. And if you're passing through and need a room for the night, it's generally comfy enough for a budget stay. But let's be straight, it's not all perfect – some bits do look a wee bit worn out, like those dodgy windows that whistle in the wind or the bathrooms that could do with a good scrub. Still, for a proper local pub feel in Grantham, it's worth a visit; just keep your expectations realistic and you'll have a cracking time.

-
The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, always creating a great vibe.

If you're after a stay, the rooms can be quite comfortable and offer good value for a quick overnight.
Cons
-
Some areas feel a bit tired and need some TLC, like draughty windows that let the wind in.
-
The bathrooms in the rooms can be a tad grotty, which might put you off if you're picky.
-
It can get a bit noisy at times, especially on a lively Friday night, making it hard to get some peace.
-
There's that overly bright emergency light in the rooms that stays on – a real nuisance when you're trying to sleep!

Andy and his team create a great atmosphere.
It's relaxed and calm.
Excellent place to relax.
pool table inside fantastic beer garden.
Overall, love the time I haven't spent here.
If you looking for a local pub feel The Beehive is the place to be.
Stayed in a room there. Plenty of tea and coffee. Staff fine. But It was all a bit tired. Lots of jobs need doing. eg wind blows through rotten window etc. Not a bad place but there are much better value places to stay in Grantham.
Perfectly reasonable room. cost £30 for the night so difficult to complain about. the bathroom was kind of grotty but everything worked as it should have. only real complaints were the crazy brightness of the always on emergency light and it was a bit loud but tbf it was a Friday night in a room above a pub. I stayed for one night and would be happy to use again - very conveniently located, booking, paying and getting there all fine. for a single room a stones throw from the train station and close to the shops, I couldn't find cheaper. Recommended if you want a cheap as chips room as a base.
overall, it was very good.
The room I had was number 4, that having it's own entrance way along the side of the pub, and the accommodation being in what might have been an old stable block. Automatic passive infra red operated lighting to stop you tripping over all the traffic cones.
The room was large containing 1 single and 1 double, going under the name of twin.
Everything was bright and clean, small flat screen tv, kettles, plenty of drawer and wardrobe space etc.
Now the criticism.
The main electric light was broken
The bathroom was in the form of a wet room and once you tried the shower, it stayed wet, about half an inch of water all over. No bath. The lavatory flush was countersunk, sure it's not designed to be.
No bedside tables, almost all the space taken by the beds.
I had to use the radiator top to store my phone and glasses.
Staying here while working nights as a traffic management operative in the area. I found the Landlord very friendly and had no problem with me calling in for the keys the afternoon before I was due to stay. The room is very comfortable with a large wet room. I personally can't fault this Inn for quality, friendliness and Service. My only dissapointment is that their fully booked next week and I'll have to stay else where. 10/10
