About This Pub

Ah, The Terrace – what a gem in Southall! I've got to say, stepping into this place feels like walking into a proper community hub, all family-run with that genuine warmth that makes you feel right at home from the get-go. The food's a standout; they're all about simple, fresh ingredients with a nod to Indian flavours that hit the spot every time – think hearty meals that'll have you raving to your pals. Pair that with the lively atmosphere, massive TVs for catching the footy, and spots for everything from intimate chats to big celebrations, and you've got a spot that's hard to beat. It's especially brilliant for groups, with outdoor seating when the weather plays ball, and the staff are just lovely, always up for a chat or to sort you out quickly. On the flip side, it does get packed, especially on weekends, so you might end up queuing for a table, and if you're someone who loved the old Red Lion vibes, you might notice a few changes that take a bit of getting used to. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for anyone looking for a fun, relaxed evening – I'd definitely recommend giving it a go if you're in the area.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The food here is an absolute delight – fresh, flavoursome dishes with a real taste of India that leave you wanting more.
  • The atmosphere is spot on; it's vibrant and lively, making it ideal for catching up with mates, watching live sports on big screens, or celebrating special occasions.
  • Friendly staff and owners who go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, adding a personal touch that really warms the heart.
  • Plenty of seating options, from cosy indoor spots to a rooftop area for sunny days, perfect for groups or just relaxing with a drink.
  • It's open every day from midday till late, so you can pop in whenever the mood strikes for a casual pint or a full meal.
Cons
  • It can get quite busy at times, which might mean a wait for a table if you're not planning ahead.
  • Some folks might miss the old-school features from its previous incarnation, like the pool table, though the new vibe is still a winner overall.

The Terrace in Southall is an absolute gem, offering a fantastic experience from start to finish. The ambience is spot on ,warm, inviting, and with just the right balance of energy and relaxation. Whether you're there for a casual drink or a lively night out, the vibe is always on point. The staff are brilliant, friendly, attentive, and always ready to make sure you have a great time. Service is quick, and they genuinely make you feel welcome. One of the standout features is the Dubology Nights, a dub-themed music event that brings an incredible atmosphere. The music selection is top-tier, creating a unique and immersive experience for Dub fans and newcomers alike. If you're looking for a spot in Southall with great vibes, excellent service, and unforgettable music nights, The Terrace is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Red Lion reborn... Definitely nicer than before from a decor sense and much more open to new crowds and families. Went for the first quiz night (won of course), it was a very fun well organised event. I shed a tear for the pool table spent many a year on that... But life moves on, goodbye red lion, hello the terrace.
