About This Pub

You know, when I think about The Talbot, it just brings a smile – it's one of those pubs that feels like a proper local hideaway, run by Craddocks Brewery with their reputation for top-notch ales. The staff are genuinely lovely, always up for a chat and making sure everyone's settled in, which really adds to that welcoming feel. Pair that with the snug atmosphere, complete with a wood-burning stove that warms you up on a damp day, and you've got a spot that's perfect for unwinding. The beers and wines are a highlight, all crafted with quality ingredients, and the food's solid too – nothing fancy, but reliably good and fairly priced, especially compared to some other Craddocks places. On the flip side, it does have that classic pub vibe, so if you're after something more modern or cutting-edge, it might not quite hit the mark. And let's be honest, it can get a bit lively when it's busy, which might not suit everyone for a super-quiet evening. All in all, though, it's a solid choice for us pub lovers – a place where you can enjoy a pint, some grub, and good company without any fuss.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • Friendly and welcoming staff that make you feel right at home
  • A cosy atmosphere with a wood-burning stove, perfect for chilly evenings
  • Great selection of Craddocks' award-winning beers and wines, all brewed with care
  • Tasty food options that hit the spot without breaking the bank
  • Comfortable setting with nice decor, ideal for a relaxed chat and catch-up
Cons
  • One or two folks might find it a tad traditional rather than trendy, but that's part of its charm
  • It can get a bit bustling on weekends, so you might not always snag a quiet corner

A Craddock's house and I have visited a few of theirs. I like this one that was comfortable and friendly and better priced then some of their pubs I have visited.

Cracking boozer. Droitwich's best probably. Craddocks pubs are usually good. Beer was good. Nice decor. Friendly service. No complaints.
