Ah, The Swan Inn – what a lovely spot it is, tucked away in the heart of Mountsorrel with its rich history dating back to the 17th century. I have to say, it's one of those places that really pulls you in with its authentic feel; imagine sinking into a comfy chair by a crackling log burner on a winter's day, or lounging in the sun-drenched garden with a view of the River Soar come spring. The beers are a highlight for me – they've got this great range of real ales and their own microbrewery creations that always hit the spot, and the staff go out of their way to make you feel at home, which is just what you want from a good pub.
