About This Pub

Ah, The Swan & Helmet – it's one of those pubs that just feels like a proper local gem in Northampton. From what I've gathered from the reviews, folks absolutely rave about the staff; they're friendly and create such a warm atmosphere that it's hard not to feel at ease straight away. It's got that authentic old-school charm, with plenty of nods to Irish culture and sports, making it a brilliant spot if you're up for watching rugby or just enjoying a cracking pint of Guinness. The food gets thumbs up too, especially for family events, and at inexpensive prices, it's easy on the wallet. On the flip side, parking's a bit of a nuisance, so you might end up walking or grabbing a cab to get there. Also, the hours can be inconsistent, so it's smart to check beforehand. Overall, it's a solid choice for a good time with friends – the high ratings speak for themselves, with most people giving it top marks for the vibe and service. If you're in the area, I'd say give it a go; it's got that balance of fun and reliability that makes for a memorable visit.

Now! If you're looking for a piss n puke smelling dark dingey little Shit hole Irish bar? You're looking in the wrong place. The bar is one of the cleanest you'll find in the area let alone the Irish bar genre. They do have the bricabrac bollox on the wall which is pretty cool. The pint tastes like home, and is poured professionally to perfection! Staff are pleasant. There is an Irish feel off the place and a few ex PAT no pun intended, Locals Dart board Pool table Good music Great pint. Craic agus ceol What else would you want?
