About This Pub
Ah, The Stirling Castle – it's one of those pubs that just draws you in with its welcoming atmosphere, you know? From what I've gathered from the reviews, the staff are top-notch, always on hand with a smile and speedy service that makes you feel looked after without any fuss. The food's mostly a winner too, with folks raving about the great selection and reasonable prices, paired with an impressive range of beers that could keep any ale enthusiast happy for hours. And let's not forget the fun side – pool tables for a quick game, darts if you're feeling competitive, and those big screens showing live sports, plus the odd live music event to liven things up. Oh, and the harbour views from the terrace or upstairs are just gorgeous, ideal for a sunny afternoon catch-up. On the flip side, it's not all perfect; a couple of reviews mentioned some dodgy moments with the food, like an undercooked burger that left a bad taste, so it might pay to stick with the safer options if you're popping in. All in all, it's a solid spot for a pint and a bite, especially if you're after a relaxed evening in Bridlington – I'd say give it a go, but keep your expectations balanced for the best experience.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
The staff are absolutely lovely and really attentive, making you feel right at home with their quick service and friendly chats.
-
The food's generally spot on – think tasty meals at reasonable prices, with a cracking selection of beers and drinks to wash it all down.
-
It's got a brilliant vibe for a good night out, with pool tables, darts, multiple TVs for live sports, and even live music now and then.
-
The place is clean, airy, and offers stunning views of the harbour, perfect for relaxing with a pint after a day out.
Cons
-
Some dishes can fall short, like that chicken burger that one chap found tasteless and undercooked, with a disappointing side of coleslaw.
-
It might not always hit the mark for everyone, as a few folks have mentioned meals that didn't quite live up to expectations.

Enjoyed a lovely meal after being at the cinema, food was lovely and the staff were friendly, service was very quick and Naomi our waitress was very attentive making sure our food was ok and quickly removed our plates when finished so we could enjoy another drink.
Thank you so much
Many other places closing early as it was Sunday. Thought we'd give it a try, glad we did, fairly friendly staff, food really good at reasonable prices. Nice and clean and airy. Last night in Bridlington, otherwise would probs go back.
Others in my party were reasonably happy with their food, but I didn't much enjoy my chicken fillet burger, which was fairly tasteless, with no dressing, and seemingly undercooked. The cole slaw that came with it was tiny and not nice. The fries were fine. They did change the TV channel for me so that was one positive.
Good pricing for drinks. Two pool tables, 50p per game. Darts. Multiple TVs showing live sports including one gigantic TV. Live music on occasion.
Really great selection of food & drink, the best selection of beer I've ever seen in one place & the menu on offer is extensive to say the least, awesome selection, I wish I'd seen this earlier in our stay. Good service & great views of the harbour from the terrace or the upper indoor level.
