Ah, Ryse – what a lovely find in Bridlington if you're after a proper cup of coffee and a bit of relaxation. From what I've gathered, the coffee here is genuinely outstanding, with folks raving about its quality and that indulgent hot chocolate that's like a warm hug on a chilly day. The atmosphere is clean and simple, with friendly faces like Beth and Osman making everything feel welcoming, and it's brilliant that they cater to dogs and have those healthy menu choices to boot. Plus, the loyalty card is a nice touch for regulars. On the flip side, it's not all perfect; a couple of reviews mentioned disappointing cakes, like a carrot slice that turned out dry and overly salty, which could put a dampener on things if you're eyeing the baked goods. And while most love the coffee, there was that one chap who felt it wasn't quite as fresh as it could be. All in all, it's a solid spot for a catch-up over a brew, but maybe stick to the drinks if you're unsure about the sweets – you'd probably still leave with a smile.

Cons
-

Some of the cakes can be a bit inconsistent; one person had a carrot cake that was dry, salty, and not quite right.

There have been occasional grumbles about the coffee not always being up to scratch for serious enthusiasts, with comments on bean freshness and barista knowledge.

                            Absolutely fantastic.
What a find this place was, not only does it serve the BEST coffee in Bridlington there 70% dark chocolate Hot chocolate drink was to die for .It was like a hot velvety mouse. The absolute best ever, with fresh cakes too. I got a generous slice of carrot cake and it was so moist again the best I've tasted, and I have had a few
The staff we're very friendly and nothing was too much bother for them. The cafe itself is quite deceptive with gifts to buy and they also have a toilet.
This is a real gem of a place, you won't be disappointed 😁
Amazing atmosphere in the cafe, very clean with simple style furniture, friendly people who work there (beth and osman), great coffee, dog friendly cafe. Offers loyalty card. Selection of healthy food on the menu.
5 star coffee, the cake let it down. I bought a carrot slice, I think somebody missed an ingredient and replaced sugar with salt. It was very dry, floury, salty and not very edible. I didn't say anything in the shop as I thought it was possibly vegan. On reflection it was awful.
Great coffe and tea Cafe with a lovely range of teas and 3 hot chocolate styles. These supported by some nice tray bakes including rose, pistachio and lime slice and great chocolate topped flapjack. There is a good range of lunch snacks too. They also let dogs come in as food prep is away from the seating area, bonus for dog owners.
They say the north man is cold man! Or woman for a fact! You need to know your coffee and basics, like how many days after roasting you can use the beans! In services the life work balance will always be affected! Average craft coffee by non involved barista!
In response to the owner comments, the coffee beans of the black bag in the pictures were roasted on 15th of October and, upon query to the barista about how many days should I wait until the beans can be put thru grinder, I was told straight away (visit was on the 19th of October) as the supplier delivers them when the beans are ready. To my humble opinion, due to high acidity when freshly done, beans needs to rest some 7 days after roasting, to be able to use them and enjoy them at their fullest. Besides that the black americano's crema I was served, was missing from top, hence....something wrong when brewing the coffee. Craft coffee is an art. Thought my wife enjoyed the flat white and said as good.
