About This Pub

You know, I had a cracking time at Bridbrewer and Taproom the other day, and it's one of those places that just feels like a hidden gem in Bridlington. The beers are brewed with real passion right on site, offering up unique tastes that make you want to linger a bit longer – whether it's a smooth stout or a hoppy IPA, they're spot on and leave you buzzing. The service is what really stands out; the brewer's dead chatty and eager to share stories about the brews, which adds such a personal touch and makes the whole experience feel matey. Prices are fair too, so you can enjoy without worrying about the wallet. On the flip side, it can be a bit quiet in terms of variety sometimes, especially if you're popping in on a Sunday when options might be slim, and with hours wrapping up by tea time, it's not ideal for a late-night session. Still, if you're into proper ales and fancy a relaxed spot to unwind, I'd say it's well worth seeking out – just plan your visit around their schedule for the best of it.

Pros and Cons

Pros
  • The beers are absolutely top-notch, with unique flavours and a great selection of cask ales that really hit the spot – especially the milk stout and hoppy IPAs.
  • Service is warm and engaging; the brewer's always up for a chat about the brews, making you feel right at home.
  • Prices are spot on and reasonable, perfect for grabbing a pint or taking some bottles home without breaking the bank.
  • It's a lovely spot for enjoying a drink outside in the sunshine, adding to that relaxed, community feel.
  • All the beers are unfined and vegan-friendly, which is a nice touch for those with dietary preferences.
Cons
  • The selection can be a bit limited at times, like only a couple of cask options available on quieter days.
  • Opening hours are mainly from midday to late afternoon, so it might not suit those after an evening out.
  • As a small microbrewery, space could feel cosy or get a tad crowded during busier moments.

Great service from the gentleman at the counter, having a little chat with us while I perused what to bring home with me. Next time I'll hopefully be able to try something on tap while there. The ones I bought are unique and nice so far!

Last visited 2 weeks ago with pals from Scarborough. We were on a crawl but all agreed we should have stayed longer. Great place, fabulous beer, I had a tasty milk stout and a very knowledgeable brewer, keen to talk about all aspects of his beers. We're all keen to return to Brid asap. We'll be heading for Bridbrewer.

Only the two beers on cask when visiting on a Sunday but great service from the gentleman behind the bar. Very reasonable cost & nice spot sitting outside in the sunshine.

Superb local brewed on site ales. Great selection from stouts to hoppy IPA's. Very reasonable priced. Recommended for any real ale tippler and brewer.
