Ah, The Spread Eagle – or as it's known, that Cest La Vie Cellar Bar spot on Market Street in Blackburn – it's one of those places that could be a hidden gem if everything clicks into place. From the chats I've seen, the service shines through for some, with staff being dead helpful and the food coming up trumps for a casual bite. It's open seven days, which is brilliant for nipping in after work or on a lazy Sunday. But, and it's a big but, there are stories floating about of it feeling a bit unwelcoming, particularly if you're a younger face, and that low rating suggests it's not hitting the mark for everyone.
