in Scarborough for a few days last week and called in here for the first time and the landlord is one of the most welcoming i have ever met. I felt like one of the locals from the outset and the atmosphere was really good .(we called in so i could watch the football ) i was there with my wife and daughter and if i was a local this would be where i would go. the pub itself is lovely and clean (and so are the toilets) and there is a decent amount of drinks to choose from. all in all a very good family friendly pub. they do sell food but we did not partake because England was playing . . . lol
A nice pub with a friendly atmosphere. Karaoke and bands add to the appeal for some. The choice of beers, particularly ales, could be better but overall it is worth a visit. The pub is clean and well decorated and is small/intimate like most pubs in Scarborough. It seems to attract fewer tourists than some other pubs, probably because of the location.
